Does work with that motherboard - if you happen to live in Overland Park KS :-)

Does not work with any other motherboard :-(

This is a fantastic deal if you can find it, unfortunately stock of the motherboard appears to be quite rare. You can also sub in the 7800x3d for $204.38 (combo total of $422.36), or the 7900x for $234.65 (combo total of $452.63).

I assume its oos on flushing now, any other motherboard to swap with that would give a discount on the combo?

I don't think there is a second board marked with this $30 combo discount being applied twice. There are more expensive boards with this double $30 discount. And cheaper and crappier $130 mATX boards without discounts at all. This board for $139.99 is quite a good value given it is a $200 class board in quality. Can wait for a restock as Microcenter restock 2-3 times a week on weekdays. Who knows if your store will get a few of this board.

Would it be a significant upgrade from 3700x B550 16GB RAM?

Absolutely ddr5 , significant IPC improvements and ability to upgrade to 9000 series later

Good deal but 9000 is right around the corner (like 1 month) and this will drop in price a lot very soon.

Yes. 2 generations of IPC improvements, gets you on AM5, double the ram, and ddr5.

People say this every time but last gen cpu prices usually take quite awhile to go down. And this is already a VERY good deal. I'd be surprised if this got more than $10 cheaper in the next 12 months

I found another motherboard that has the double discount for $60 more, now debating on what cpu to get. I have a 7900x which i underclocked to save on power what i use for work so might grab another...or grab a 7700x for $100 which is crazy.

Pretty ehh price for a 7900X given 7900X3D was recently as low as $280. So you are paying $234 (vs $280) for a sidegrade at best, a lot worse at gaming, a smidge better at compute. Next month when 9000 series drops, 7900X would instantly be lower value. I would go super cheap for the cheapest 7700X build or go 7800X3D which AMD promises will still the best gaming CPU compared to regular 9000 series non-3D CPU.

Plus that bloaty MSI X670E isn't worth the money. Microcenter's best value AM5 without extra discount is probably the ASRock B650E PG Riptide relative to the price..

I don't game much, if i do it's not at max settings, so with that in mind, i'm almost certain i'll go for the 7700x bundle if i can. My main priority is power savings, so i'll probably looking into under volting to save a bit of power and productivity/multi tasking so i might go for the 64gb ram bundle. I may also swap my 7900x into my new main build and put the 7700x into my work pc. $320 is an insane deal, in my case around $420 since ill be getting 64gb ram
