There should be an additional 10% coupon (yea it saves like another 1.50, but STILL!) Not the cheapest I've bought these for, but I guess inflation hits everything....

I have several of these, added a larger 18650 just for longer run time. They are GREAT lamps for the price. USB-C charging. Depending on the version you get, the downside is the older ones had plastic clips that held the light body. Later versions have rubber.

Does come with a battery and case!

OP, are you able to comment on the other versions (the "500l Adjustable Gen 2," "600l Gen 2," or "1000 Lumens Gen 3") - and particularly about the 500- or 600-lumen versions? Specifically, do you think those have the same performance/circuitry/build quality, but just with lower brightness levels?

[Edited to refer to brightness levels generally, rather than max brightness]

If you can spend a bit more, the Sofirn HS20 has a flood and a spot LED that can be independently (or simultaneously) operated. Great concept for a dual LED headlamp.

I was kind of excited by this until I realized "a bit more" was more than double the price of this one (and that's with the current Sofirn HS20 20% coupon).

Got it for $30 from their website, so... $13 or so more (no tax). Not all that much in the overall scheme of things, but yes, a bit more.

I can only speak for the 1000L Gen 2 and 3 as I do own both. These are both USB-C charging. They both have brightness levels that you can step down and dim down. I usually will run the lights on the step just below the highest level. It produces enough light for working around the car, BBQ and hiking/camping. They both have a flood and spot combo design would be the best way to describe it. The biggest cons with the gen 2 is the plastic 'clip' that holds the light. Not a hug deal if you are not pulling the light on and off the band. But will angle where you need it and stays put.

I have Nitecore HC33, a couple Olight Peruns (minis), couple Black Diamond headlamp. These are hard to beat for the price. Mine has been solid since the first purchase in 2022. I leave one each in the cars. I also bought extra headbands from Olight when they had them on sale, they use a rubber light holder similar to the Gen 3 from SOLNIK.
