Picked up a couple of pairs.

I've been running in Brooks Adrenalines for years but I decided to give these a try recently and I can't believe how much I love them. If you run in stability shoes, you should check them out.

Seems like a decent deal. I'm not sure when running shoe soles got so thick, though. I have been out of running game a while, but it seems like there has been a big swing from the minimalist fad a few years ago.

Any recommendations on a shoe with a bit less heel drop and a little more street feel for daily jogs (maybe up to you 5k)?

The minimalist movement proved to be both a scam and disaster. Don't cling to the defunct fads. You should give the new class of highly cushioned running shoes a try. You might discover that they make running so much more enjoyable that you'll never fall off the wagon.

Well, the super minimalist stuff like the Vibrams toe shoes were a bit crazy, but it's too much to say that the entire transition to thinner soles and lower heel drops was a scam.

Tons of foam can absorb a lot of energy and make it feel like you're running in sand. Big heel drops also make you heel-strike more and are really uncomfortable for my knees and lower back. Back in the day heel drops over 10mm weren't uncommon.

I just want something with a moderate (4-6mm) heel drop and moderate cushion so it doesn't feel like I'm in platforms.

Edit: ended up getting some Saucony Axon 3 for $47.18 a pair. Looks like a great deal. I hope they work out. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BS17JYPP/

It's still there, but I only see size 12 left.

Seems to be a daily trainer for some pronation. Like the saucony guide series which I very much like.

The new Nike Pegasus 41 looks like that shoe. Didn't try it but saw in Dick's last week. Never owned a pair but Amazon had some Alta models with 0 heel drop on sale for around $70. Can't recall the models but found same discount prices at multiple retailers.
