This 1/2 impact is good enough for most tasks for most people. It'll do 350 ft lbs with the 4ah battery and it's about the same size as a drill. Dunno about 2ah.
I had it for a while and was completely happy with it. Ended up getting an unbeatable deal on the Ryobi 1170 brushless and sure it's more power, but it's also a lot bigger and heavier.
I also have Milwaukee M12 and ended up getting a Milwaukee M12 stubby because the Ryobi 1170 is so big. The stubby is incredible, only is about 200 ft lbs, but it's sooo small.

I'm personally waiting for the 1/2 brushless to go on sale. I guess I don't see the point in having a 3/8 if I have a 1/2 unless it's a lot more compact.
EDIT: I've also heard you'll want at least the 4AH battery with impact wrenches to get the best performance.

My experience are that these have very weak removing torque, more like 150 for the 3/8" and 250 for the 1/2". And a 2ah battery will severely under power the wrenches and then expire. Just move on to better tools when a new deal; pops up.

I have the big mondo brushless 1/2 impact, (I call it "Big Kahuna", so my wife knows what one to grab when im under a car) and ill say, even as a retired mechanic that still plays on the side, its fuggin big and heavy. Now, it'll either loosen, or just flat out break anything you put it up against. However, even doing the lug nuts on the SUV at 140, I still usually grab my older ryobi 1/2 impacts. It will definitely take suspension, frame, and rusty bolts off with ease that the others cant though.
A few pics of various 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 impacts next to "Big Kahuna" attached.

That said, I don't buy brushed Ryobi tools anymore. Ryboi brushless is of much better quality

And it was hackable, so you could return the Free tool and keep the Impact wrench kit for $50.
