But isn't this the same as apple accessories having limited functionality on Android?

I don't understand why people using iPhone come to look at and comment on Samsung deals. It is iOS that made the restrictions to use only their devices. Better stick with Airpods when you are a Apple user.

That apart these are very good for online meetings via computer. They pair very well and noise cancelation is excellent. Recently slack huddles have been bit difficult with volume going low. Slack and Samsung should work to make it better.

I can confirm this price in Dallas metroplex as of Tuesday.

Just checked my local target and it was only 50% off, coming up to $115 pretax which isn't slick. The employee said it won't go any lower and this is the final price.

70% off to $69 is slick, but $115 is not. Guess I lucked out.

My store was 50% off but I showed them the picture from this post and they proceeded to matched it for me
This must be hit or miss depending on who works there. Simply showing a picture from a SD post gets you a reduction? Insane. Usually you have to show something from something reputable like a competitors website.

I've done it multiple times. It's clearly a legit target tag. They will always price match other stores clearance, at least here they do.

Cool. I'll give it a shot. I seen a few posters here local to me who found stock with it reduced already. Going to go scavenging a few Targets.

It's unfortunate because Samsung used to have an app for the first gen of their wireless buds. My Samsung Buds Plus are amazing and I prefer them over any of the AirPods/Pros. I would be considering another pair of Samsung buds if they allowed full compatibility on other systems outside of their own. Funny because the same thing can be said about Apple but I know people using AirPods with their S24 Ultra.

Compete with a good product and not with forcing users into a walled garden.
It's funny that you don't realize this is an Apple restriction and not a Samsung restriction.

That is why your AirPods work on Samsung phones is because SAMSUNG doesn't block anything or have restricted APIs. Apple has restricted interfaces that only work with Apple products.

you should try reading the Apple developer contract sometime. and see how draconian and restrictive they are about what you're allowed to do with compatible products they control everything.

No, unless maybe you have a Samsung phone.
The sound quality of buds2 is MUCH MUCH better than Pixel one which sounds like 1.99 one you get at dollar store.

These are excellent and been using a pair of them since black Friday last year. Took them to a trip overseas last month and active noise cancelling did an excellent job making my trip that much better with crying kids in my flight. Also, these are vastly superior to the previous Pro version of these buds. Bought the old pros 2 years ago and had to return them within weeks because it wouldn't hold a charge and lose battery power within 30 mins. Old pros also had an issue with the right earbud losing connectivity very often which in turn takes out the left earbud because the right one is the "main" one that connected to the phone.

Sony has a headphone app though on iOS. Maybe Apple is just limiting Google? Or Google just doesn't want to have an app?

An app doesn't mean you get full hardware API access or that you can enable all the features of your hardware with their interfaces. The hoops to jump through to develop for apple are very high vs android.

Yeah. I don't know all that. I like my AirPods but hate my AirPod Pros. So I usually use Sony ones or my old AirPods. Was going to see about hunting these down to try them.

The Sony Connect app isn't bad at all. You have EQ settings, all sorts of stuff.

I have the pixel buds pro, are these an upgrade?
If you have a Samsung phone, it works pretty seamlessly. The sound quality & ANC is very decent. Form factor is pretty small as well. The best part is the level of button customization. You can set individual tap/double tap/hold functionality.

I didn't think the pixel pros were all that good. I have Sony XM5s, if these were $69.99, I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a pair to use concurrently while the other one is charging.

Agreed. I was very disappointed with the Pixel Pros, I had higher expectations. The sibilance coming through those things was grating to my ears. They were also way more bass heavy than I like, compared to the Buds2 Pro which had a much more neutral response.
