I think you misunderstood what they mean by 1 year of local storage. They are saying that the hub/NVR can store up to 1 years worth of recordings based on 2 cameras each recording up to 5 minutes of motion triggered video per day. Obviously if you trigger motion far more often, you might only be able to go back 3 months or 6 months on the included 64GB SD card. Good news is that bigger SD cards are cheap!

Can't speak on experience but I've been in the market for a security system recently and this seems to be one of the most recommended no-subscription based brands. Most people would recommend PoE instead of Wifi though

I inherited a Revo Ultra NVR system and was blown away by their customer support. I also hear good things about Reolink.

I have had reolink for about a year, and recommend the brand. They are not cheap but it's worth what they ask.

What happens after a year? Do you have to pay a subscription?

I'd like to know this too. Also do these camera do continuous recording or just motion. I am under impression that all Solar cameras record motion only.

Have had reolink for years and zero regrets/issues. Poe is obviously superior, but if unable to use poe, WiFi is next best. Endless options with recording and notifications so no worries there. My only concern would be how long the battery holds up outside depending on your climate. Poe is not daunting at all just consider buying quality ethernet cable separately to extend lifetime of installation.

Product (camera) is good but software/app and product support is horrible. They don't test their apps before updating....check out recent app store reviews (they break features every time they update the app).

I have 3 POE cameras and an NVR and I have had major problems with my system...when it works, it is amazing. But, it often doesn't work properly and I spend a lot of time troubleshooting issues.

Been wanting to do a POE system for external of house (and still might) but this would be good for property perimeter where wired isn't so feasible. My question would be for those that already have this: if/how can this integrate with a wired reolink system? Or would it have to be a third party integration type thing? Thanks!

These integrate perfectly with Reolink wired POE system, but note that battery cameras will only record motion events versus 24/7 recording with POE.

Reolink , I'm my opinion, isn't very good. I have 3 and they have a hard time with connectivity during playback. Other wireless cameras I have don't have this problem. I use multiple access points, so congestion isn't an issue.
