I've had this machine for 6 months now and it rocks, but the lint filter is horrible. So much lint and dog hair get into the cooling coils and inside the machine. To remedy this BEFORE YOU EVER RUN A LOAD go buy the primary filter strip kit from homeguysolutions.com or make your own watching his YouTube if you don't wanna drop $50

also I got mine scratch and dent for $1800 all in

Got this in the Costco deal about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. So so convenient, saves energy. 2'20" for a load with "extra dry" on. We have toddlers and a baby and it's so nice to throw a dirty sheet/pajamas in before heading out and coming home to them being clean. No more, "Did you remember to put the clothes in the dryer?"

I don't trust any appliance Samsung manufactures. They always come with great features, only to break down months if not after a year or 2. Not worth it, I'd stick with GE.

Have owned this machine since June 2023 and like it so far. The minor annoyances are the lint fliter as others have mentioned, just have to be very good at keeping it clean and the slightly longer wash/dry times.

I replaced a traditional top load washer and resistive heat, vented dryer that was almost 20 years old. This unit uses a lot less water and a lot less electricity to wash/dry a load.

I went from around 35-40 gallons of water down to 15-17 gallons. And 6-8 kwh of energy down to 1.3 kwh of electricity to wash AND dry a full load. The tech is truly amazing.

The Samsung Bespoke version is better in just about every way, the clothes come out dry and the coil cleaner works better. The GE microban seals are the only thing it does better.
I had the Samsung one delivered from Costco last week, and wow, I am loving it so far. And even with a big item like a pillow top for a king mattress, it handles it well, gets it dry, and still used less than 50 cents of electricity.

My old washer and dryer were eating up around $3 of electricity per load, so assuming this machine is reasonably reliable, it will *eventually* pay for itself.

I know a lot of folks complain about the ventless dryers not really drying your clothes, and I *mostly* havent experienced that. As long as the load has a lot of natural fiber items, it seems to do just fine.

However, I have ran loads of JUST synthetics, and yeah, they feel damp at the end. Even if I give them a bunch of extra drying time. And yet, if I have some synthetics mixed with the rest of my other stuff, they seem dry.

Anyway, I have no input on this specific deal, but for anyone uncertain about the "new" style combo units, I'm liking my Samsung

Here is my situation that I am shocked has not been discussed anytime I read reviews or discussions about these units. We have a side-by-side washer and dryer. The dryer works perfectly fine and is newer than the washer. I was considering replacing the washing machine with this unit and keeping the traditional vented dryer. That way when we are doing sheets and towels I could just leave them in this unit and let them do their thing. But if I am washing a load of clothes where half of the stuff needs to be hang dried and the other half needs to be dried in a machine, I would just use this all-in-one as a washing machine. So basically adding the drying functionality to an already existing washing machine. If we find over time that we render the traditional dryer useless, then we could either use that area in the laundry room for storage, or add a second one of these units to double the capacity of the room. Anyone else thinking about a similar situation or have experience doing this?

Had mine since it came out. Yes slower dry time but, I absolutely love it. The harsh feeling of gas dried clothing no longer exists my clothing feels better and softer. I would 100% buy again and if a 220v comes out will probably pock thst up for better drying (I asume)

Also, I have solar, natural gas cost is off the charts. I moved everything to heat pump. Only keeping gas stove because wife likes it, I would like to change that to conduction at some point

GE has their own technicians that come out and repair unlike every other brand that outsources. That in itself is enough incentive for most to go with GE because ultimately all brands will have issues eventually.
LG also has their own technicians.

Very hit or miss reviews on this device. I really wonder how it handles larger loads. The general thing I found is not so good...

Would love this concept.... Drop in and forget... .

We replaced an ancient Frigidaire wash tower at our condo with one of these. It has been fantastic to consolidate so much space and add shelving to our small little laundry nook. One thing I noticed is that Lowe's allows you to add 2 to the cart at the same time to max out the discount so the price gets to $1666 each if you are replacing both a washer and a dryer. I soooo wish we could do that but our units in our primary home are only 3 years old.

I think the better case would be taking loads that take a long time to dry in the all-in-one and moving them to the standard dryer. The dryer will probably handle things like towels or comforters better, but YMMV depending on your vent situation. Also situations where you are backed up on laundry and want to increase throughput.

For your clothes load example, I would just recommend using the wash complete option instead of the significantly less efficient vented dryer. That will pause the load before the dry cycle and alert you the wash is done, so you can remove anything you don't want dried by the machine.

FYI for those of you with the HD credit card, check your inbox for the latest offer. I received a code on 6/6 for either free interest for 24 months or 10% off when you use your HD card for payment. The latter brings my total down to $1574 in cart. Gonna be hard passing this up at that price.

I guess this would be nice to save space but if you have kids with more clothes to wash it seems slower because while normally the clothes are drying the next set of clothes are washing. It is better than dealing with stacked units when inevitably the drain motor is going to go out and you have to unstack them because these newer washers don't have access panels at the bottom anymore so you have to either take off the front or lay it on its back to get to it.

I wouldn't wish a Samsung appliance (or tv) on my worst enemy. Literally nothing but issues on both our washer and dryer. We bought the most expensive models thinking they would be solid... Definitely not.

I've had this unit for around a year now, and I absolutely would not get it again, given the option.

While everyone is talking about how this is so easy because it lets you drop in a wash/dry load and then forget about it, what they don't tell you is that your load size is smaller, so you'll probably be doing more loads, more often. And if you don't scale down the size of your loads (this lists a 4.8 cubic foot load capacity), you'll often run into the load balancing/dry cycle loop.

While heat pump technology is very neat, this unit relies heavily on its spin cycle to flush the majority of the water from the wash. If you have a heavy or bulky load (which does not exceed the load weight limit, mind you) - one that it has a hard time balancing - it will never spin up to a full speed spin cycle. It doesn't consider this an "error," and will just happily move on to the dry cycle with sopping wet clothes. Your dry cycle will end up taking 6+ hours unless you cancel the current cycle, manually redistribute the load, restart the wash/dry cycle again, selecting spin only for the wash part, and hope it can figure out how to balance your load properly. During that 6hrs, all the machine will tell you is that it's "sensing current load" and that there's only 15 minutes left in the cycle - but after that 15 minutes, it'll load sense again, and add another 15min. Rinse and repeat for hours. The app is 100% useless as well as it only parrots what the machine says.

Obviously, the solution is to put in smaller loads. My weekly laundry with my previous washer/dryer (which had a load limit of 4.0cuft) would take care of my weekly laundry requirements in one load - averaging around 3-4hrs total time. This thing makes me split up my wash into a minimum of two loads, each averaging 3hrs. So this thing that was supposed to save me time is now taking longer. The only thing it has going for it now is the space saved by not having two separate units. And yes, I've seen the filter problem as well.

I got mine at Costco as well. This is the first time I'm considering taking advantage of Costco's generous return policy.

Ours works pretty well but damn is this thing loud during its spin up..makes knocking noise like crazy. Was told from service techs it's a load balance thing....
Um might be wrong with it, in my opinion ours is very quiet compared to a standard washer dryer. It's loud, but not standard dryer loud

If it helps, the Samsung washer and dryer that I bought almost 7 years ago have been solid. Did not need any repairs yet. This was also a scratch and dent model.
The Samsung fridge, on the other hand, needed to have the ice maker assembly replaced.
I'd trust another Samsung washer and dryer.
