I've had this machine for 6 months now and it rocks, but the lint filter is horrible. So much lint and dog hair get into the cooling coils and inside the machine. To remedy this BEFORE YOU EVER RUN A LOAD go buy the primary filter strip kit from homeguysolutions.com or make your own watching his YouTube if you don't wanna drop $50

also I got mine scratch and dent for $1800 all in

Got this in the Costco deal about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. So so convenient, saves energy. 2'20" for a load with "extra dry" on. We have toddlers and a baby and it's so nice to throw a dirty sheet/pajamas in before heading out and coming home to them being clean. No more, "Did you remember to put the clothes in the dryer?"

I don't trust any appliance Samsung manufactures. They always come with great features, only to break down months if not after a year or 2. Not worth it, I'd stick with GE.

Family of 4 here and we love it. I spend way less time washing clothes because I'm not waiting around for the wash to finish and cycle things into dryer before they get mildewy. I can do 3 loads a day on weekends, early morning, mid day, (pause for peak rates), and overnight. But I never really have to do that. Can also throw random loads in any day of the week, morning or night, and because the clothes will just sit in there already dry it doesn't matter that I'm at work all day or sleeping in on a weekend! It makes doing laundry so much more flexible. The trade-off is when you need that one shirt clean and dry ASAP it's not as quick and also, I can't overstuff it as obscenely as I used to do my old set. Overall, I would not go back to separates.

edit - I have the LG, but same thing.
If you have the LG app, you get alerted when the clothes are done. Plus, there's a feature to prevent the clothes from getting mildewed. What do you do if you need to put something in the washer while the clothes are drying¿ Doesn't waiting prolong your wash day¿ On top of that, these machines take longer to dry. I would recommend a washtower as an all in one unit to anyone reading this who does lots of laundry.

These things are a flash in the pan. They're hip now but you won't even see them for sale in 5 years. Like curved TVs.
Do you still have dial up internet service, CRT tv, and rotary dial landline phone?

I had been looking at the LG, but the minimum clearances stated in the install instructions were just too big for my space. . . . This one may work.

Just a heads up for some that are looking at these. . . . The LG installed has a big depth of 34.25 inches when you include the minimum clearance needed for that one.

Anyone have the LG and not have that large of a clearance from the back wall?
Watched a repairman tear apart the LG and this GE. Hands down the GE was setup to be way more reliable than the LG. I am saying this as someone who only buys LG washer dryers.

For us it's way more convenient than two separate units. We load once and empty once.
If it takes 2 hours to wash another 2 hours to dry, you have to wait 4 four hours, and then load the clothes again. If you have 4-8 loads, how is that convenient¿ Again, it depends on the size of your family and how regularly you do laundry.

But you are arguing that it looks great on paper but not in the real world, are you specifically talking about GE? Because both my LG units have been great in the real world.
NO argument here, period!
Just trying to guide some folks into understanding how things work, before calling it a thing!

Home Depot has the LG and Samsung All in one also on sale for the same price, so why this one over those?

Absolutely love this unit. We've had it for almost a year now. It's amazing. Set it and forget it. It's also dirt cheap to run.

I'm still trying to figure out how a family 4+ can time travel with this unit. I have two LG washers and 1 dryer for the same price and I can say this setup gets laundry done fast.

We've had this type of washer/dryer combo since 2005. Have loved them all (3) and they have been built better each time. Our newest is a Samsung so can't speak to this one, but the convenience will make me never go back.
You had washer dryer combos, but you definitely didn't have a heat pump tech in 2005. They have only been a thing for the last handful of years. Just wanted to clarify for others.

Any feedback on how good the drying is? I've read some reviews where the drying takes too long or doesn't dry as well as a stand alone dryer
I own one. Normal load to dry is about 1.5 hours. Clothes feel a little damp coming out but it's just the humidity. Shake them twice and voila, they are completely dry - including towels.

Because math. If I do 3 loads, I make 3 trips, not 6. I'm not a professional clothes washer, i'm not wasting my time by the machine all day.

It's so odd to have people make up scenarios because they don't like a product. I have had clean laundry and convenience for 8 years. Also the LG app tells me when the dry cycle is done, even more convenient.

Love the concept but can't help but to think about how hard it is to find a knowledgeable service tech and like with combo ovens, instead of being out 1 machine I'm out both.
That's why you always keep extra washers and dryers handy in the garage
