I would however consider one of these in our upstairs for the two bedrooms there.
Technician I talked to fixing my samsung refrigerator (I've got a home warranty) said the combo units are "too new" and not a lot of techs know how to fix them. Said they're still ironing out all the problems with these units.
I'd really like a unit like this because space is a concern, but I'll pass for now. I don't know how reliable GE is.
It's 300 lbs.
Get the delivery. And tip well.
What's good about this model is that it is a family size, unlike baby LG combos. It doesnt require 240V and doesn't need vent, both are huge plus for apartment dwellers in older buildings. This machine might not be for people who's laundry rooms are size of garage, but it is finally a good, all-inclusive answer to needs of city renters , who have no extra space and now can throw dirty clothes in before going to work and take them out clean and dry after coming back.

I did think this would be a problem and my plan was to buy a second eventually if I needed it. There is no need.
You can run a wash cycle without a dry cycle if you need to pull clothes out in between. The drying is less harsh on clothes since it's lower temp, so I hardly do this either.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying it, but just wanted to share my insights directly from a GE factory tech who has been trained on this machine and has seen the failures already.
If my washer is broken, I have no use for the dryer. If my dryer is broken, I'm not going to throw a load in the wash.
