It's not always about you.

There are many people who don't drive, can't drive, don't have a vehicle, or for some other reason can't or don't want to, or prefer not to shop physically in the store.

Instacart provides a service. It doesn't sell groceries or other physical items. The stores sell the items, Instacart shops for pickup and/or delivers. There's a cost to that which many of us are willing to pay either due to necessity, convenience, or simply because we want to.

Costco same day actually is Instacart. The difference is that the shopping platform is on Costco's same-day website and not on the Instacart website .

It is entirely separate. Any cart or order placed on one website is not available to view on the other. Any instacart gift cards applied to one or not available on the other. Delivery scheduling is also separate.

Actually, insta with Costco only marks up about 5% (less than my sales tax lol), and theres no fees. So unless you're spending more than $250, you're saving money by using this deal compared to going into the store.
For me; I used this deal to get something that was already marked down, bought 6 of them, and got those items for 30% cheaper than normal Costco prices. And at the savings, I'm happy to throw in a Tip for the driver and still come out ahead.

With sameday.costco.com it seems like the prices are exactly the same as in store, or atleast it is for my warehouse. Prices match, discounts just like the flyer.

Maybe you can remove it as a payment option in the app, but I'm going to guess you'll just need to buy another GC if possible

the $100 costco goods using this so called and instacart $20 off deal comes up to $180 after the rip off marked up price, plus service fees, plus delivery fees plus tax. plus also near expired food the delivery man picks up.
so you end up wasting $80 in the end vs buying in store.

Between the coupons and the discounted gift cards I have never paid more for buying through Instacart than buying directly in store. And I save the trip.
