pretty decent deal. I've had mine for about 3 months- and honestly- it's rad - but enormous. it runs a lot more than the SD - but the Sd experience, Imo is better - this is very much a "touch" PC - and the windows install is decent- but holy cow- I have VERY large hands and this thing is enormous. The controllers feel hard to remove and like you're breaking them - so mine stay on. Kickstand is super nice. Runs emulators like a dream. Battery life is also what you expect. If you're on the fence wait for a BBY clearance or open box deal. I got mine open Box (1TB edition for about this price back in March.) Overall if you want something that has a lot more ease of setup and runs amazing out of the box, Get a SD, but this is a pretty cool gadget- if you can justify the expense.

He said it's a touch PC, so .. ..anything a PC has access to??? For example I can run Steam on a PC and I could run other gaming platforms on a PC and I could run PC games on a PC......

It's a handheld Windows PC, so basically anything an upper midrange Windows gaming PC can play this can play too.

Ugh, I want one so bad. But I already have a Steam Deck, and honestly I'd probably prefer getting an OLED model SD over this and selling my older model…

Just get a steam deck.

The only reason to get these windows handhelds is if you want to play competitive games that require cheat detection which is silly anyway because youll want to play comp games on a desktop.

There is a reason these Ally's/Go's go on sale every week and you never see the SD. They cant move these.

Make sure to press the release buttons on the back of the controllers when sliding them off. When this was first released a reviewer mentioned the same thing but he did not press the buttons. Once I made my purchase I read about it in the manual.

Run to take it back before you have to experience an Asus RMA. This thing is awesome.

I rarely buy games, and the Steam Deck can't run Game Pass natively so I'll never buy one. No, streaming games on xcloud or any other streaming platform is not the way for me.

This has a much larger screen than the SD. I don't use my SD mostly because the screen is just barely too small.

I also kind of hate Linux even though SD's version is absolutely the best it can be. Too many niche games just constantly crash.

I have one of these being delivered today.

I picked up a Rog Ally when it was on sale and compared it to the Lenovo Go as my neighbor has it. The go is much bigger and seems better but with the games I played (dead by daylight, resident evil and ninja turtles arcade) I am happy with the Ally. My friend was playing cyberpunk on his go and it was spinning like a jet engine! I played halo on my ally and it was also spinning like a jet engine. I feel most would be happy with the ally but there are those that really want the best and maybe the Go is the answer for them.

Anyone have experience using this on a plane without WiFi? obviously an emulator will work with an internet connection but what about steam games or locally installed Xbox gamepass games?
