URLs in "Reply to thread" emails are too long and break my email program, POP Peeper

My email program, POP Peeper, cannot handle URLs longer than 512 characters that are shown in plain text. The first attached image shows what I see in POP Peeper. Only part of the URL becomes clickable or hyperlinked.

This issue started around September 2023 when the URLs became much longer. The second attached image shows what the URLs previously looked like before the change.

Could a shorter URL be used like before?
What about sending an HTML "Reply to thread" email to avoid this issue?
