I just got an email that Sam's Club Plus is bumping up their free shipping threshold to $50 in August. BOO!

Bye bye Sam's Club plus membership if that is the case.

I also found out you don't get Sam's Cash on purchases made online. This is a big scam. In order to make our life convenient we pay for the plus membership but will only get cash back accumulated when you shop in store. So not going to renew their plus membership

Yeah we still use them for toilet paper and other bulk items but mostly gas for me. It seems every single service I subscribe to keeps emailing me to tell me I'm recieving less for the same cost.

We order a bunch every week for our business. I assumed we earned

Sad to hear about the shipping too. I guess all good things must come to an end. Figured it never made any sense for them to ship a bundle of TP for free. Shipping alone via FedEx cost them $15-20

If you buy your tires at Sams and have the plus membership, you get free tire rotations and balancing for the duration of your membership. Twice a year tire rotations for two cars + the food court basically pays for the membership.

I got the email and assumed they giving regular members free shipping if you got $50.... So if it's just downgrading the plus then no reason to pay more since it's essentially now like the crappy Costco executive

I always find it difficult to get discounts on plus membership, any tips?
Usually the best I can do is get a free / cheap regular membership and then pay the $50 to upgrade it.

I don't think you're getting the plus membership cheap. I can upgrade for thirty bucks right now but it'll expire in six months. The Sam's club membership seems to have promos every once in a while, the regular one that is.

I believe you can get those same free tire services at Costco with their standard membership.

Yeah the plus membership jumped the shark. Downgrade to regular and just sign up every year for $20 or less with a deal.

I'd rather have the road hazard warranty included with Walmart plus and free tire repairs when applicable along with rotation and balancing for life of tire.

Agreed. However I will point out that no one here has mentioned their $0 Rx maintenance drugs. That alone has easily paid for the Plus membership and then some for my family.

Just throwing that out there for folks to think about that if they aren't already.

Yeah my renewals up and I can't afford it It's over $100 so forget that Sam's. I purchased all my paper goods there but I'll shop somewhere else now I refuse to pay that for a membership Sam's plus
