If you want to save some money on the install kit, use this one. Has all the same items in the kit that the Best Buy one does for about half the price.

I have been without a dishwasher for a few years now, being to cheap to buy one. I think I am finally going to fire on this for 250 bucks. I feel pretty good about doing a self-install, and I think i can get a junk collector to take my old one.

No matter how often you do them, there are always more dishes to wash. Make cleanup easier with the Insignia 24" Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with 3rd Rack, Sensor Wash, Stainless Steel Tub, 49 dBA. Its adjustable racks can be raised, lowered, angled, or removed entirely to fit every dish into a single load. The smart wash system automatically chooses the best cycle, based on how soiled and full your load is. A stainless-steel door creates a classic look when built into any kitchen counter. Let your dishwasher do the hard work, and your dishes will come out sparkling clean every time.

Often times yes, you should just in case. But if you have a 2016 dishwasher, it shouldn't be bad yet.

The dish racks starting to rust and few prongs broke off can I just buy new racks?

Should be better than the dinosaur Kenmore I have. Used the Sapphire reserve for an extra year of warranty so worth a shot for $274 out the door. Thanks for sharing!

$60 extended warranty on a $250 dishwasher seems nuts. If it breaks just buy a new one, we're in disposable appliance territory here folks.

It is $554 by the time you add delivery install and hallway.
I was surprised at how easy it was to install a dishwasher when ours went out. I watched a couple YouTube videos, and it was pretty simple, especially with the instructions they give you. As others have mentioned, you can usually find a local junker that will come pick it up. I called someone and he gladly came out to pick up the old one (that I put in the box the new one came in). Took maybe an hour in total, mostly because I kept double checking everything, because it really seemed too easy.

Should be trivial to find a replacement rack through either a local supplier or via ebay. However, don't be surprised if the rack price is surprisingly close to the price of low-end dishwashers.

Did that for a Sears model I'd bought for my sister which lasted more than long enough to outlive the rack inside it.

Good luck!

Half the price than most places sell them for, and oftentimes it's the exact same set.

If it's working, don't replace it. The next one will likely not last 10 years.

Mine is 20 years old and no end in sight. Fingers crossed.

How easy is it to self install? I've had to replace this one part on my 12 yr old frigidaire a few times and its getting annoying.

Any idea how well the geek squad coverage is? I think i might do 3 years for 60 bucks.
Geek Squad warranty has been amazing for us unless they changed the terms under the new CEO Corie Barry who is destroying bestbuy.

Had a SUHD Samsung TV where the display started failing at the 4 year mark. Samsung tech under bestbuy came to our home and replaced the entire display panel (cost them $1000). Bosch 800 dishwasher they replaced control board for us when it failed. Numerous other products over the year we've had issue with Canon digital camera or Hoover Windtunnel we got new items
