I've got one of the flavors of this. They are all orange and black with straps. Some come with a liner that goes between it and the roof.
I throw two pull to tighten cargo straps over top of it just because I don't trust the glued on anchor straps. They are stitched to a piece of rubber that's glued to the hull of the bag.
It's been on two 8 hour drives in the beating sun and moderate rain. Been dry both times.
Amazon became the eBay of junk products. Unfortunately I can't tell what's real and isn't anymore so I'll just have to buy from reputable manufacturers rather than risk damage or worse to my multi thousands of dollars vehicle and the many others on the road.
One failed strap and this comes flying off into who knows. Nah, I'll buy something that at least has a company that could be held liable rather than these fly by nights.
Nah...the straps hold. I have a different brand and have been using it every summer for like 5 years. However, I also throw bungee cords over the bag and connect to the roof rails as a fail safe but have never had any straps come loose.

I don't care how many good reviews there are. I wouldn't trust this going over highway speed long distance at 80mph with just a fabric strap to your door sill holding it in place.
My wife bought me one of these and at first I was very circumspect about trusting a random bag from a random company with no US presence. I wasn't so much worried about losing my stuff, but if the bag failed and my flying stuff caused an accident, I'd be liable. I initially sat it between my car's roof rack and cross bars, figuring they'd take most of the force in the main direction of motion and it worked pretty well. I eventually bought a basket for my crossbars and now I use the bag inside of it as a cargo cover/tie down and it works very well. Be careful not to overweight it, cars have specs for Max roof load while driving and they're surprisingly low (120 or so lbs on my Forester). They also act as sails in the wind, add noise, and kill mpg, but if you need some extra stuff on a road-trip or family vacation, it's much cheaper than a bigger car.
That's my fear too. We put the cross bars on, I was thinking about one of these bags to hold our beach chairs and/or other lightweight stuff when we do our road trip next month. We also have a sunroof under there. So I'm now thinking the same route basket and one of these cheapos to keep it in place.

I agree Chinese products sometimes holds up very well for very cheap price. However, they could really just spend few hundred dollars to hire an American to come up a decent brand name instead of letters! How can I even recommend it to my friends? Hey, this svfoghsngofh product is really good!
I agree... but this one is easy to pronounce. It's "5K Lemons". That said, "lemons" are not an association you want with your vehicle.
Says "with or without roof rack"…has anyone used this without? If so, how did that go/how much weight did you have in it?…I have two sunroofs on my SUV so would be concerned about the glass.
I had no issues, I have a sun roof. It clips easily under your weather stripping. I had several heavy suit cases on top actually 4. Good product but I want the bigger one if it goes on sale.

Definitely don't put the zipper sides forward.

Does appear to be some shills here.
