Though I did notice that every once in a while you come across a scene that's out of focus. I wonder if TV productions knew about this and didn't care at the time, because who would ever notice it on a 26" CRT television? There's no need to make sure the focus is always perfect since it all looks the same on a TV broadcast.
Anyway, the show is great family friendly entertainment, and a lot funnier than you might think. I wonder how kids today would like it - the show holds up well because it's a period piece and doesn't have outdated references to the time period it was made in, but the pace might be frustrating for people with a lower attention span.
For some reason this bundle does not include the three movies that were made to conclude the series. That was fine with me though, two of them were really bad and the third had good storytelling but was disappointing.
They also had Mrs Olson as a villain right from the start, which also continued with her objections to Nelly marrying a Jewish person. And they portrayed him respectfully while portraying Mrs Olson (the wealthiest white woman) as the scum of the earth over and over again
In season one they have one character acting as racist towards an Indian while Mr Ingles calls him out as the barbarian and they also portray the Indian as saving lives when he didn't have to and the man finally admitting he was wrong for his previous actions.
Sometimes being wholesome calls for calling out the injustices of the world.

Totally agree how great that show was, though. We'll likely not see its like ever again

Have been binge watching season 1 on bluray and was thinking about buying more seasons. But at this price couldn't pass up the whole series on VUDU for about the same cost of a single season on BluRay.
I assumed I could buy it, click on it and it would just work. hahaha no. It's making me download some dippy Movies & TV app thing on my computer - which is taking its sweet old time.
Experiences like this reinforce why piracy is so common
