It's really pathetic discount now, Tmobile $50 -$5 -$2.25 red card + $3.79 tax + $1.20 E911 fee comes to $47.74
So it's $2.25 saving on $50 card.
It should be $45 for $50 card that's what $5 off means. Plus extra discount woth red circle, I remember last year I stocked up it was around $42.50 for $50 tmobile card which was worth the bulk purchase.

Fee and tax make it more $50 even after $7.25 discount.

Great timing! Thank you, I bought 4 of the $50 cards with my Target Red debit card in 4 transactions at $42.75 each, no tax = $171 for $200 in phone credits! I love my $29 savings!

In NY at least, no taxes on these cards, whereas if you reload on, for example the one I use, Total, you get hit with $4 of taxes on $30. So this is way cheaper.
Not true, NY is taxing at least the Tmobile cards

Thanks. My At&t $300 annual payment is due tomorrow and was waiting out for a deal. My Target was out of $50 cards but was able to buy 10 $30 cards and check out two at a time to get the deal. No tax so this saved me close to $50 total.

Your calculation is incorrect and not a fair comparison. You add tax and fees for this card, but not purchasing directly from carrier. Same taxes and fees apply based on locality rate. Purchasing $50 directly from my carrier is $56.45.

Based on your numbers
Tax Rate: $3.79 / $45 = .0842
Carrier: $50 * 1.0842 tax + $1.20 E911 = $55.41
Target Savings: $55.41 - $47.74 = $7.67

You have to do seperate transactions. Looks like you are limited to 2 in a 24 hr period.

On my ATT cards im not charged anything for taxes, but would if i paid via credit card on the att prepaid site.

Thanks. I ended up doing multiple transactions (3 of them.) Kinda stupid that the discount doesn't scale.

att $50 prepaid card is $42.50 with red card. You can buy 3 per day before they flag your account. Once you add the balance to your ATT prepaid account, you have 90 days to activate it. You can extend this date by increasing your ATT prepaid balance on the 89 day, rinse and repeat to your annual renewal date. I don't think the prepaid refill cards themselves expire but I am not one to keep gift card balances around unused.
I was able to successfully order 7 cards today and they all came through. How would i know if my account is flagged?
