This issue is AMD, they abandoned their laptop graphics card lineup.
6800M is a great card that AMD supports, that has nothing to do with what they're currently doing in the laptop market. The issue is this laptop. Corsair was trying something new and it looks great on paper but was plagued with all sorts of issues both hardware and software and Corsair is the one who abandoned it.
My problem with this deal aside from two gen old CPU and last gen GPU is that this was available in new condition for $100 more back in the fall.
I think this price for old hardware is not great at all, this should be close to the $500 mark.
Why not $400? Or $350? Since we're making nonsensical comments.
You don't get 3 year old GPUs at that price let alone a year or two old yet still a very capable and comparable to the current GPUs; along with the other top tier specs.
If you're going to comment at least try to make it useful for the community, like the user above you gave a justifiable negative.

All the supporting comments were posted previously on WHY this should be a lot lower than the current price.
If you want additional than what about that the Laptop is around 3 years old now, and the only saving grace is the 6800M which in most games now is only about 10-20% faster than a 4060 laptop which can be had for brand new for cheaper with a newer CPU. Not to mention even new laptops with 4070's and you dont get the software headaches for $150 more BNIB

My 2 cents: This laptop was overpriced when released ($2700), making its shortcomings (unfinished drivers, poor webcam, and gaming performance in line with laptops $1000 less) more glaring. What is still very nice about it to this day is the build quality, aesthetics, and the fact it has a pretty current gen, zen 3+ rdna 2 architecture cpu supporting ddr5 ram and wifi 6E. 2024 laptops have not made any big leaps, so this still feels very up to date imo. The generous 12gb of gddr6 vram and AMD's continued support and fsr frame generation tech for GPU's leads.me.to believe this has some longevity still. The 6800m in this sits between a 4060 and 4070 laptop GPU (without dlss). If u look at current laptop deals with a 4060 u are looking at the MSI pulse for $800 (new) exclusively in store at microcenter. Personally, I think the MSI is inferior in build quality, screen, keyboard, and just overall. It's a budget machine. To get similar built quality and performance of this, you'd be looking at the current heavily discounted Razer Blade 15 at $1500 (new). Yes, it's a year newer, but like I said previously, there haven't been any leaps this year in laptops, really. I think this is a steal at $900. Don't yell at me please. Just throwing my thoughts out there. Will come back and post my thoughts on it when it arrives. Also, I'm somewhat of an amd fanboy, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Nobody said anything about this being lower in price except for the user above you and even he only stated that new was $100 more but 6-8 months ago, not that this was a terrible price. Yes, $50 or $100 lesser would've been splendid but even at this price it's a good deal for what you're getting.
And 6800M the only saving grace? This laptop has a display and battery size that's usually available in higher-end or more expensive gaming laptops. Not to mention it weighs lesser than majority of the gaming laptops out there. The cooling is impeccable and the only major downside might be the software support, or lack thereof.
Maybe try having some knowledge when you come to downplay a deal. Or better, if you stay far from my deals because you literally comment nothing but nonsensical comments.
Thank you.

No no, your comment was absolutely on point and filled with nothing but valid points which sound like they're coming from someone with knowledge about the respective hardware.
Thank you for providing your two cents, they were worth it.

PCMAG review shows it cant even hold its own against a 3070TI.
And in a lot of games its not even close to 4070 and in some games even gets beat out with a 3060... Look at the averages in real play tests with the 6800M.

That guy sounds like they're in denial while trying to sound smart... when they want it at $500 RIGHT NAO
I wasnt wrong about how old the hardware is, I wasnt wrong how the the graphics card in some games cant compete with a 3060 does not even match up to a 3070TI and in most cases on averages loses to a 4060 as proven by Jarrod in his actual game play tests. So yeah I did a pretty good job backing up my statements. Even in my opinion found a way better laptop for under $900 as he requested.
If you want waste your money on outdated hardware, your the reason manufactures charge absurd amounts (sucker born every minute) and then people complain how expensive everything is.

Faster than a 4050? It sits between a mobile RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 and is comparable to an RTX 4070 with VRAM exceeding all of them. Here are a few authentic links to prove that: https://www.notebookche

Apology not needed since I probably could not hear it from your high horse anyway but enjoy the crow.
The kicker Jarrod recommends a 4060 laptop for gaming over the 6800M at the end of the video thats way newer than the Drs video.

Better yet, what $900 laptop has a screen this good, a mechanical keyboard, and an rtx 4060?
