Does this mean you can't add external monitor to it?

You can use hdmi. Just saying that usbc is not a thunderbolt or dp compatible. Cheap laptops all don't have this. Not a life destroyer but definitely won't appreciate this

You can add external display with M1605YA-ES52 via HDMI out.

Pretty sure manufacturer/retailer would mark the price up for at least $50 more for 16GB variant.
But it'd cost you less than $20 to buy a stick separately and do the memory upgrade.

thanks for posting this OP Smilie

not sure but I think this video and guide describes upgrade possibilities ? Someone correct me if I'm wrong Smilie... looks like 16 GB ram maximum and one m2 slot where you could swap out the drive for a bigger one (not sure what the maximum size drive is the laptop supports?) . ..

Agreed. The screen is terrible, the CPU architecture is a minor refresh of a 3+ years old one and AMD is discontinuing the iGPU drivers (VEGA), and you'll almost certainly want to spend another $100 on upgrading the RAM and SSD, with all said and done, its not really worth it, once you do those upgrades you couldve gotten a much better laptop in the $500 range.

You say "that price" as if this isn't nearly as cheap as a new laptop possibly gets.

I'm assuming this vivobook doesn't support adding a second drive. Can't seem to find confirmation online.
