$19.19 price is for the SFT40 6000-6500K version which I picked up a few weeks ago because a person in the thread said it had a more useful light pattern and I too am quite happy and impressed with the SFT40 light.

Looking at the table the SFT40 6000-6500K has less lumens than the XHP50.2 emitter, but it has more illumination (cd); sorry I don't have both to compare but I am very satisfied with the SFT40 beam.

SFT40 is spot (narrow angle), XHP50.2 is flood (wider angle). Just depends what you are looking for. I think for walking around and general repair/search tasks a wider angle is preferable, but if you want it to use as defense, spot is more impactful.

In any case, very nice little light with the Anduril 2 interface.

Was considering getting a couple of these for an upcoming backpacking trip, but one of the videos they linked from their site actually shows that you can only maintain the higher brightness for about 30 seconds before they automatically turn back down to like 300 lm. Kinda dumb IMO.

I got one of these last time it made front page...great light, but man does it run hot....is that normal? Almost to the point you can't hold it too long.

Turbo mode is a bit of a gimmick for these tiny lights. Everyone wants maximum output, but that also creates maximum heat. You just can't use Turbo mode as your "normal" setting.

That said, the mid and high modes still output a lot of light for everyday use. Get something like a Sofirn Q8 if you need higher sustained output.

True, 3000+ lm is overkill for most things, but even some of the non-turbo high settings he only recorded as lasting for a minute or two. When camping, you often need sustained light for 10s of mins. Maybe 300 lm would be enough, but it'd be annoying to know you only had 2 mins of higher than that.

Sounds like you want the Sofirn sc33 or wurkos ts22. They use a 21700 cell and offer great output and sustained regulation!

700 lumens for over 2 hours on both

First experience with this brand on last SD, got them yesterday and I'm honestly surprised with how nice these are. Went back to rebuy the 18650 divers and they're gone. Hoping for a restock to get some more but from what I've read once clearance is gone, it's gone.

I also thought that I got a defective one, that the light only works when being charged. After reading issues reported on the internet, I was eventually able to get it to work. This included making sure that the metal contact is solid by removing excess grease around the battery spring and the screw threads in the body (just wipe with paper towel), and screwing the body barrel tight. Might be worth another try.

So what did the reviews say about the actual lumens that this thing puts out? We know that the Chinese sites always exaggerate by up to 50%

well I checked it out, and it actually hit 3,700 lumens in the review for a brief few seconds. course it probably dropped withthin 30.

I think that's the problem with these cheap lights, is you can't get 1000 plus lumens sustained, which is what you would really like in a lot of situations.

I have the fc13 xhp50.2 5000k, fc13 xhp50.2 6000k, fc13 sft40, ts22 xhp70.2 5000k, ts23 xhp70.3 hi

Color wise 6000k is more bluish white, 5000k is more yellow white natural.

If you like to fix cars at night get the fc13 xhp50.2 which is more floody. If you want more throw get the fc13 sft40. I would say the sft40 is better for walking. Please add the magnetic tail caps to your order!! If you are going to use turbo please use high discharge battery of at least 20A for your safety (fire/explosion risk). Although any unprotected 18650 cell can turn on turbo, it is not worth risking your life over. Fc13 xhp50.2 draws 20A and fc13 sft40 draws slightly over 12A on turbo. If no turbo use any 18650 cell will do. On high it will draw under 5A.

Ts22 70.2 is the most floody of all. But it is flawed by the autolock out mode. Still usable, just somewhat annoying.

Ts22 70.3 hi, this uses a domeless cree led. It has good brightness and runtime on high, somewhat floody as well.

Both the ts 22 and 23 uses a boost driver, so any 15-20A battery is fine for turbo use.

2 cents: ts22/23 can use both 18650 or 21700 cells. I recommend the Molicel brand high discharge batteries. The ts23 is the best overall light if you can afford it. If you just want a decent cheap bright light the fc13 sft40 is your choice. Fc13 more edc size, but the ts23 can also fit in your pocket, just a bit bulky. Wurkkos is Sofirn's sister company.

Agree, I bought one of their lights from a SD a few months ago. Worked fine for a month or 2 then just stopped working. Have sent multiple messages/emails to wurkkos, no response

yea, when i first got this it was annoying as hell. it would not turn on when it wasnt plugged in. i basically have to unscrew it apart a little bit every time it gets removed from its cable connection. kinda like it needs a reset or something. the whole UI thing on flashlights is cool. i like the rgb button. light pattern on the one i got is more flood so that cool. i like flood pattern on smaller lights more.
