I have 2 of their receivers, one still working great after about 10 years and the other 5+ years. No issues whatsoever.

So now that Voxx international owns Pioneer, Onkyo, klipsch, Jamo, Energy and half a dozen other Audio companies and Masimo owns Denon, Marantz, Def Tech, B&W, and Polk Audio. Do you think us consumers are going to benefit from price wars, and competitive innovation when there are basically two companies running the Home Audio industry?

All this Corporate consolidation needs to be curbed sooner than later. No one cares, until you start looking around and all of a sudden a hand full of corporations dictate everything. They're slipping it in all of us slowly, but it's happening, and it's been happening for years. We all think we live in a free market economy, but it stops being a free market economy when 2 corporations run the Home Theater/Receiver Industry. We will pay what they want us to pay, not what their tech is worth.

If the Pioneer 505 comes back for $650, that will probably be the best price you will find.

I saw this one recently and thought it was to much. I just want to power 4 speakers and send signal to my sub. Doesn't have to be fancy!

Fantastic receiver. I paid $1,100 back when it was released. Component shortages soon drove the street price to $1,500. $800 is a bargain. Dirac is the best room correction out there.

In that case just look for a used one.
Around here you could get one for $50-$70 that will do that.

Actually there are much better RCs than Dirac out there(ie Trinnov, Room Perfect) but they will cost you much more to get them.

You also don't get the option for Dirac's other half Dirac Live Bass Control with this either.

I agree, that's why we're all here.

Any advice on a cheaper one? I like all cheaper ones.

My TV routinely blanks out for a few seconds every minute-ish when the Xbox Series X or PC are connected to the Onkyo NR-6050's HDMI "2.1" ports and sending a 4K 120Hz signal, so I've connected those directly to the TV and do sound to the receiver over eARC. Does this RZ50 have the same issue?

Well keep in mind you're looking through a straw compared to what's available in the industry.

I would argue it might be the other way around.
This receiver is a perfect example.

Before this came out(& Pioneer), to get Dirac RC which was considered next level.
It would have cost you way more than this.
As a matter of fact if Dirac is an important feature.
You could go with the Pioneer 505 for $650 which pretty much the same as this AVR!

This caused D/M to make it an option on some of their AVR which is crazy since they have a very comparable RC themselves!
