To add to this, media has historically been filmed at 24 fps and this is what makes the mismatch between 60 hz tv and films/shows.

A TV set to 60 hz isn't a multiple of 24 so it can't just hold all the frames for an equal fixed amount of time and so some other method is needed for displaying some of the frames, like interpolation. A 120 hz tv can avoid this mismatch and just hold all the frames for a count of 5 so interpolation isn't needed. Interpolation can lead to jarring visuals for some people, but other people are fine with this. As someone else mentioned, this is an effect that soap operas make use of to affect us as we watch certain scenes.

One way to avoid this issue with 60hz TVs is to switch the picture mode to movie when watching media, which limits the display to 24 hz, and then some other picture mode when playing games or watching higher fps videos. That said, just getting a 120 hz tv means you don't have to remember or fiddle with any of this.

the 75" version is $550 if you manage to find it. Not available around me since it sold out rather quickly. I'm watching for it and holding out. 65" is just too small for the room I'm putting it in. We tend to watch the tv in the living room from the kitchen and my recliner is kinda far away next to the window so I can drink and watch the storms roll through.

if you don't understand what 120hz is and you game; you will not know the difference.

Type of game matters. there's a big difference between Call of Duty and Civilization.

Go look at both panels and decide which you prefer. You'll probably have to do this by finding a couple TVs in their natural habitat (not Best Buy or the like, as they crank every adjustable slider bar to max to try and outshine the TVs they're next to).

I really do view it as "you love bananas, but this new crazy orange came out that you should get". Because of this, bananas are now cheaper.

Do you still love bananas? Awesome. You win. Go get a banana.

My sentiments exactly, it just looks weird.

I'd want to be able to turn it on and off for certain parts of sports, but that's about it.
