Yes -- your card stays the same as long as you keep it open

Your cash back percent just changes depending on if you have Prime or not
It's 2 days away. Are you saying there aren't Black Friday sales being posted earlier than Black Friday? Of course there are.
I got approved. After being denied for years. I'm sure it has been said. But the key is you have to not apply for other cards for a certain time. Even if you have 850 credit. I was pre approved back in March. But I waited until til the $200 gift card hit to apply. Good luck guys.

Agree. So many rookies downvoting this.

The REAL SD is getting the Chase Ink Cash for the $750 signup bonus. Then use the card at OfficeMax/Depot for the 5x points on all purchases which includes Amazon gift cards.
That is interesting, but I don't think it is worth the hassle to get a few % extra as you can get 3% on Amazon purchases using Amex Blue for ex or get the same 5% on rotating quarters once a year with each of Chase Freedom and Discover and I am sure there are other examples. Amazon Prime\this card is not worth the cost (small bonus) and I have never paid for Prime (just get the free one month trials for Prime day which is worthless this year lol), but that is me.

As to Chase Ink Cash itself, to get that bonus you have to spend 6K in 6 months, which unless you have a large purchase or two in the works (insurance, appliance, etc.) may not be do-able for many.

$750 signup bonus isn't "worth the hassle" ? I earn at 5% then xfer my Chase UR to SWest which makes it worth about $1000 net.

$6k in 6 months? Easy work on the back half of the year with real estate taxes and insurance covering the majority of that.

No doing the Office Depot thing is not worth the hassle. And airline points are not worth squat to people like me who do not travel much.

As to 6k in 6 months being easy work, it greatly depends on your lifestyle and situation. Also, most localities charge a 2+% fee on paying taxes by credit card (assuming they even accept it). Same for the IRS. If you had a 10+k prop tax bill (common in non-free states like NJ, NY, etc.), you would give $200+ of that back for the "privilege" of living there lol. As a general rule, it is just not a great idea to pay taxes on a credit card as almost always the points gotten are far less than the fees charged. So the 750 dollar bonus is reduced accordingly. Of course if you know you have a few big purchases for insurance, appliances, etc. coming up, then it makes sense.

My 2 cents.

Finally got approved for one of these, despite excellent credit. $200 GC already in account!

I feel like the last couple attempts have been the, "we need to check something, we'll contact you in 30 days", and then never hearing back.

Thanks OP!

I think closing it has no direct impact, only indirect impact by changing the average age of accounts, changing the credit composition, changing your credit utilization, etc. If you have other Chase cards, you can transfer the credit limit around to minimize the change in your total credit.

Thank you very much!! I was just concerned about having a big hit on my credit. I don't open many credit cards for the same reason, but those 200 dollars are appealing lol

My 2 Cents, Girlfriend and I both have Amazon Card.

Last year we both added over $250 worth of items into our carts during Christmas time.

Kept opening our carts, leaving them and coming back into them repeatedly; the amount Amazon said they would give us off kept changing until eventually it said $250.

Back around the year 2000, you could buy U.S. government I-Bonds (and I assume other bonds) with a credit card and no fee! Good times... too bad I lost a bunch in the stock market around that time and was relatively poor anyway so I couldn't take full advantage.

I got this message:

Looks like you already have Prime Visa
Visit your cardmember page

Not a cardmember?
Get a $200 Amazon Gift Card instantly upon approval. Hurry, offer ends July 24.*

I just have the regular Chase Amazon Visa. Or does that Visa get changed to Prime Visa when you become a Prime member (which I just did for a trial)? Don't want to take the credit hit if I'm not getting the bonus.

It's the same card, the product name changes with your Prime membership status. There's a few perks with the Prime version (5% back on Amazon vs. 3%).

Is this offer applicable for prime trial members (30 day trial)? Did anyone apply for the card with the trial membership?

Any Prime membership will work including trial -- you should see the $200 offer on the Amazon page
