Yes -- your card stays the same as long as you keep it open

Your cash back percent just changes depending on if you have Prime or not
It's 2 days away. Are you saying there aren't Black Friday sales being posted earlier than Black Friday? Of course there are.
I got approved. After being denied for years. I'm sure it has been said. But the key is you have to not apply for other cards for a certain time. Even if you have 850 credit. I was pre approved back in March. But I waited until til the $200 gift card hit to apply. Good luck guys.

How can you designate which card will earn the 5%?

Thank you, both. Repped!

There's a separate page that you can change the primary Prime card, should be called Your Amazon Cards or something similar

This is the page to get your refer-a-friend link: https://www.amazon.com/credit/rew...r-a-friend

The only thing to note is if you have two Amazon prime cards on the account, only one of them will earn 5% back, the other defaults to 3%.

I think if you make a separate amazon account (not prime) and get it added to the original prime account's household, you should be able to earn 5% cashback on both cards. This way you will have two prime cards on two different amazon accounts, one on each. This is the only workaround I can think of.

I'm in. Took about 30 seconds and I got the $200 instantly. 5% cashback on Amazon purchases is better than what the card I was using gives me.

So I got pre approved then when I applied it said they'll send a letter within 30 days for more information (more needed to verify id).

Now 3 days later I have the $200 credit in my account absolutely no emails or anything about it.

Haha, those chumps denied me. I've got 30+ years of perfect credit history, a score of ~830, and always pay my balances every month.

Not sure if I should have entered a higher income if that was the sticking point.

The only card I have applied for in the past couple of years or more is the Target Red Card but I forgot to unfreeze my credit so I don't know if that even counts.

I do already have an Amazon card, but it is the non-Prime that just earns 3% CB at Amazon.

Oh well. I hate Chase anyway.

Don't you really mean $60 since one has to fork over $140 for Prime? Or does that not count in your math?

Ok so don't do it so you can get your $140 back with this offer and miss out on $60 back. 🤦 ♀️

Be careful not to fall for the trap. Just because your limit is 15k does not mean you can now go on a shopping spree. With interested @ 30% you'll dig yourself a financial hole in no time. Better off using these apps like arrirm that offer you 0% apr split into 4 payments

That says 150k

Reviews scare me with how some people say they charge interest beginning the day of purchase, if you ever forget to pay it off immediately seems like you already negated the 5% is all this still true?

Instead of googling what's the threshold credit score you need for approval? Unlike synchrony backed, chase has stricter requirements and does not rely on Indian call centers where they sell data to job hunters and all that other mess, asfaik.

I had a free 30 day Prime membership, and the $200 offered showed for me until the trial ended, then it went back to the $60 non-chase CC offer.

I signed up for a $2 one week trial, and the $200 Chase offer appeared again, and I checked the pre-approval just incase. I was quickly approved, and the $200 was instantly in my gift card balance.

I was a Prime member from 2005-2022. I ended it after they jacked with the free Prime music by shuffling all songs after the first one. Still chaps my a%$, lol.

Once done with Prime, I used Walmart mostly, because their free shipping is twice as fast as Amazon for non members just buying $35 to avoid shipping costs. Walmart shipped my stuff for free faster than Amazon does for Prime members. I would recommend Walmart for those who don't like using Amazon.

I agree with you. I have both amazon and walmart and walmart does ship faster but they both get the same amount of delays. But one thing I hate so far about walmart is they only show purchase history up to 4 years I believe. With walmart, I can still search my purchase history from 10 years ago. Sometimes that's important to me when I crochet and I threw away my yarn info and I need to look it up again so I can buy it again.

I wish I knew about the referral or even think about it before I sign up my husband for a card. I didn't see the referral info until after he got approved, so I missed out an extra $50 😢
OP should definitely put it up so someone like me won't miss on the extra $50.

A friend shares their prime with me and I already have an Amazon card. My gf wants to get the $200. Wondering if she can make a free account in order to get it or sign up for one under the prime account we share?

I have an Amazon prime account with a Amazon prime cc already. I used the link to sign up my husband for his own amazon prime cc and he got approved with the $200 GC and I made his the default cc for the 5% cc and only one cc in the account can get 5% back.
