I had trouble with battery running out fast but moved the module close to the doorbell and minimized the triggering of the camera as much as possible to maximize battery life

I wish we could pick the color of the echo in this bundle, I've been wanting the lavender.

Anyone here use blink doorbell solely as an outdoor cam instead of a doorbell?

Reduce the clip size. Default is 10s.
Turn off early notification and set the trigger time longer.

Mine works perfectly no issues for over a year now. I'm using the free service with local recording to hard drive and it serves its purpose well. For the price it's a great entry level option.
I've had two for a couple years. One has a solar panel attached and has worked perfectly with no false catches (I had a squirrel climb on it once). The front door has Eneloop rechargeables and they have lasted 7 months or so on a charge. 5s recordings, only the path in front of the door scanned.
I've had maybe two false alarms in that time from big bugs shining in the light directly in front of the sensor. Pretty remarkable.

Blink eats up batteries and the doorbell doesn't function. I got rid of all of my blink stuff and moved to Ring.

I was having problems with my Blink Doorbell too; kept getting false alerts every time a car drove by my street despite the road being 25 feet away and the detection area was blocked in the app. (I'm thinking the light from the automobiles passing by was reflecting to the camera lens)

However installing the angled wedge helped to mitigate the issue. And the past 3 months the false detection problem has gone away entirely; I'm thinking that Blink did a firmware update.

Also, with the Sync Module 2 the doorbell can record directly to USB; no need for a subscription. Overall, if you can get a Blink Doorbell for under $20 and already have a Sync Module 2 you can have a decent setup on the cheap; the Sync Module 2 is key though as without it you will need a paid subscription plan to save/record.

I like the Blink XT2 cameras as well; you just need to use them in low traffic areas like basements, attics, inside garages etc. I use XT2s to monitor my oil tank to check the fuel level and heatpump water heater status without having to go in the basement for example. You can power XT2s via USB as well and they have free cloud storage. I recommend getting a few XT2s for cheap when they are available as they can come in handy IMO...
I get the false notification from cars when the sun is at a certain angle. Luckily I live on a quiet street so there are only one or two a day.

Have had for about two years now, just changed the batteries for the first time last month.

I do on my side gate. It works great. I was thinking about putting one in my back yard with a solar panel for this price vs getting more outdoor cameras.

My ring battery lasts only like ~2months so was looking to replace it. The doorbell+sync module and the pop for $35 seems like a great deal.

Is there any use for multiple sync modules since I already got one from that Costco bundle deal?

Setting up another Zone outside of your property if you want to install cameras to monitor something else.

I was an early adopter and bought my cameras (7 years ago) before Amazon bought them. In the last several years I've had only 2 cameras go bad out of 5 cameras at my house. These cameras are cheap enough that it won't break the bank if they go bad. Battery usage is very good if you use the lithium batteries, and the cameras do exactly what I wanted them for. I was even monitoring alarms when I was on vacation is Egypt and Italy last year! Can't speak for the doorbell camera but the other ones have been great for me!

Me too. I got the same price as you did. I've had these cameras and a subscription for a couple years now and I have no complaints. I buy a large pack of lithium batteries a couple times a year for the outdoor cams. I don't bother with Alexa for the cameras though so I probably won't with this one but for less than $25 I get an extra outdoor camera and a second sync. Plus the small pop.
There's a lot of complaints on here but when you're paying a low, decent price you can't expect perfection.
I even think the subscription price I pay is reasonable.

Is it possible to buy this and return one of the items if I change my mind? Or would I need to return both?
