Wrong, lots of tennis courts are getting converted completely, or being converted to dual use.

I'm a little amused that "Pickelball" shoes exist. Surely they're just remarketed tennis shoes, no? Trying to profit from the world's current interest in pickelball.

I really can't imagine Pickelball requires a much different shoe than tennis. Unless you're a world-pro, I suspect you can cross use tennis shoes and pickelball shoes for each other sport and be OK.

I had asics before and they were horrible, added that IMO they are ugly looking. Don't recommend.

No, enjoy it all you want. Just Shut up about it, I'm sick of hearing about it all the time. It's a stupid name for a stupid game. If I wanted to play something like that, I'd just play badminton and check into a retirement home.

That's the problem with it. Maybe I should have said it's the new shuffleboard.

The proportion of court movements between pickleball and tennis are very different.

pickleball has more frequent but shorter side to side, and rarely every any foot crossover. The side to side is almost entirely shuffle in pickleball. Pickleball also has more frequent and short back to front movement every point. pickleball has comparatively little running.

I wear Cumulus to play pickleball in. The Cumulus are 9 ozs. Remna are 12.6 ozs. That is almost 40% increase in weight. You play for several hours the 3.6 ozs adds up quickly.
There's a reason for this though. Cumulus are running shoes, Remni are actual court shoes. The additional weight is for side-to-side stability versus pure running shoes which are typically not advisable for side-to-side motion.

Shipping isnt free until you spend an extra 5 cents, but the cheapest item they sell is $5
I've got a free shipping. But I had to pay a sales tax, could be why it qualified for a free shipping.

Where I play, I saw a lady roll her ankle playing in running shoes, I would not recommend

But pickleball is nothing like badminton - it's paddleball on a mini tennis court instead of a beach.

Also, I haven't seen many retired folks playing badminton. Shuffleboard, certainly, but not badminton. But I'm sure you could use these shoes for shuffleboard just fine.

I bought these to play tennis (Since its cheaper than most Asics tennis shoes). Just arrived. From the comments, I feel like alot of ppl are overly technical & nit-picky with the difference in running/movement btwn the sports. I've played tennis in Giannis's basketball shoes/Hoka's and was fine. I'm a 4.5 tennis player. Most people with most sports want to con themselves that they 'need what the pros have' or they are remotely close to a pro's level of movement or play nearly as long! lmao. I will play with them tomorrow & see how they feel. But my main concerns are width ( I have wide feet), cushioning & durability.

Any tennis court shoe works fine with pickleball; the movements are the same as tennis. Personally my go-to right now is the Head Revolt Pro 4.0, but I got them super cheap when Head had a clearance sale. The Nike Precision 6 (basketball shoe) is also really good if you want something with great traction and speed.
