I play 6 hours a week, mediocre player. The gel renma started getting bald spots at 6mo, I am still wearing them at 12mo but they don't have much tread and are close to wearing through the first sole layer.

Structurally they are in perfect shape still have plenty of stability and on a dry clean court the with bald spots I still feel stable. if there is any dust or rain I'd probably die.

I had a pair of these before and they lasted about 4 months. I play pickleball at least two to three times a week for a total of 10-14 hrs/wk. I am playing fairly hard with quick stops and fast side to side movements. These are one of the longest pair of shoes I've used for PB. They were comfortable, since I've selected a half size up, which I believe is my true size. I picked up another 2 pairs from this deal.

I really can't imagine Pickelball requires a much different shoe than tennis. Unless you're a world-pro, I suspect you can cross use tennis shoes and pickelball shoes for each other sport and be OK.

I played competitive badminton for many years, and yes badminton and volleyball shoes are nearly identical. Yonex badminton shoes are a few grams lighter, cost about 3 times more and lasts about 1/3 of what you can get out of Asics volleyball shoes. I wore the same pair of Gel-Rocket for well over 10 years and you'd never get anything close to that out of pair of Yonex. These shoes typically are made of mesh to be as light as possible, and they usually don't have a lot of cushion (contrary to what one would think you need for jumping) to reduce the pressure from cushion rebound on your knees and to reduce sliding, from all the fast stop and go actions. I once played a tournament match in running sneakers because I forgot my court shoes and couldn't walk normally for over a month.

Tennis shoes are meant for outdoors on harder and more abrasive surfaces, and they are meant to stand up to a lot of running and sliding, and not so much of jumping. they are constructed out of heavier but more sturdy material and have a bit more cushions.

These pickle ball shoes look to me more like a hybrid of volleyball shoes and tennis shoes, sort of heavier version of volleyball shoes made to survive outdoor surfaces.

It depends on your level and style of play. If you play recreationally these might work for you. If you're a decent club player and rely on your footwork, these would be too heavy for TT.
