I ordered these thinking they were page size sheets of labels. In case I'm not the only guy who doesn't pay attention to the details, they're not page sized sheets of labels that can easily be run through a printer. I'm sure you can set your printer to print these but I don't know how to do that. The package is about 3" x 4".

Depends on the printer you have but most have options for printing on the envelopes with a separate feed. Or you can specify a custom size and print it although that might need some experiments with the same sized sample paper. Avery has downloadable Word templates to align.

Let's say right in the front that they're not printable.

i use these to label my kids' books and water bottles for summer camp. that way they get returned if lost and when they come home and go to the next kid (or back on the shelf), i can easily peel the label off.

it's not about aligning, the "removable" adhesive material doesn't like being printed on
