I agree. Bought one. Lid sucks and hard to open. Don't recommend.

Is there a warranty on these leaky tops?

I had one of these wide-mouth bottles for a while, and while mine never leaked, it was super inconvenient to drink out of due to how large the mouth of the bottle was. I purchased an overprice straw lid, and it completely transformed the bottle for me and made it into an everyday use item. If purchasing especially just for water, I'd highly recommend picking one up with a straw lid [amazon.com] especially if you can get one on sale.

Edit: my bad, I mixed up this product with the basic wide mouth. My point stands, however, for water, go with the flex straw lid. For hot drinks like coffee and tea, if your goal is being leak proof, you really can't beat a Yeti with the Hot Shot lid.

Yes. They sent me a replacement lid but it still leaked.

The leak we speak of is specific to the flex sip lids.

Thank you, edited my original post to also recommend the Yeti line with Hot Shot lids for my favorite leak-proof bottle at the moment.

This is probably due to the red silicone gasket being placed the wrong way. It only goes in a certain side for it to not leak.

I'm aware the gasket needs to sit in the groove right side up but still leaks.
