Just because a unit is dual hose does not make it better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMIKrW5131s

Correct, just because you put another hose on a piece of shit unit doesn't automatically make it better than a high quality invertor unit made by the finest craftsmen in Korea who would rather commit suicide than live with a defect in their work.

But it's kind of like money. Just because you have more money doesn't automaticalloy mean you're happier than another person who has less money than you. The operative term is all else being equal. A dual hose unit will always outperform a single hose unit, all else being equal.

Do you know why? A single hose unit literally sucks air out of your house and reduces the air pressure. Laws of physics take over and the hot air from outside will seep back into your house through the gaps and cracks. So not only will your single hose A/C unit have to work harder to achieve the same 76 degrees in the bedroom that you have it in, it also means the REST OF YOUR HOUSE will be hotter than it would've been if you had no A/C at all.

SACC Will account for when things aren't equal. They never are. If a single hose unit and a dual hose unit are side by side, whichever has a better SACC will perform better. I don't think there are any models that make a single and dual hose version. That leaves people with the best choice being to pick a higher SACC, which will also use less energy to reach the btu as outlined in the video. It also really helps to do what they did, and do a cost over time analysis. Then someone can take the units cost and figure out cost per year, although I wouldn't do 10 years as they do as I always like to assume the worse rather than the average.
