So I did the text PURE LEAF and thought I just needed to send them the picture of the receipt and nothing happened after that. I tried again today and there are more steps (thanks to actually reading the message).
1. Text PURE LEAF to 737-377-3774
2. Text TERMS and they'll send you the link to the PDF
3. After reviewing terms, text AGREE
4. Now you'll get the prompt to send them the receipt picture, upload it to the text message.
5. When finished (if multiple pictures), text SUBMIT
6. A message with the submission ID will be received.
This was probably obvious to everyone else, but I screwed it up the by not reading.

Where are glass bottled ones? (Discontinued) I'd rather pay full price for those than get any discount on the lesser tasting sugar water in the plastic bottles…
Watch out for these guys-they declined me and the wife's mug rebates due to it being a week and some timeout.
Terms certainly don't say anything about this

Pure Leaf never came in a glass bottle, that was Gold Peak Tea, now in plastic.

I dont understand the problem. You guys were a week past the submission date? These terms do give a date for purchase (now thru 7/25) and submission (by 7/28).
edit to add, I also pulled up the mug terms and it clearly says to submit by May 14th.

They pulled the same thing with me. I texted the receipt image a day after initiating the rebate (still well before the submission deadline), got no response, then they claimed the conversation had somehow gone "inactive" (even though they could obviously see I had sent the picture) and refused to pay. They only gave me the rebate after I posted a complaint on the BBB website. Certainly not worth the hassle for $8, let alone $3.
The problem is that these companies don't know how to market stuff or they intentionally set it up for failure, it doesn't sell to their ridiculous expectations, then they cancel it.

The Pure Leaf in glass bottles had sugar, just not a ton of it. The no sugar plain black tea in these plastic bottles is alright, so far as no sugar goes, but there's no middle ground between it and the flavored ones. Well, not anymore…

Yeah it did. I bought tons of it. For lack of a better link or time to find one, here's a page with an image of some of them:
