Happy hour discounts even let you pick up instead of forcing you to get it delivered so you save a lot on fees. The Uber prices are very close to the prices in-store so with the discounts it is much cheaper. And Taco Bell lets you schedule your order so as long as you order from 2-5 pm you can pick up whenever.
It gets better if you got the Uber gift cards from Costco as well.

This luxe box is 1400 calories(diet drink) with a good portion of that coming from protein for $7.
3 cheesy double beef burritos is 1710 calories for $8.37.
Cravings Box where I'm at is 1280 max calories for $6.29.
As far as fast food goes, I find those prices perfectly fine, especially compared to these other companies who can't even find the decency to give anything other than a small or junior sized drink with their "value" deals when everyone knows they are making 90% margins on fountain beverages.

Pay is not keeping up. Between groceries and rent, is costs like $10k/year more than a couple years ago. And as everybody knows, even if you got a $10k/year raise, it would be taxed heavily and you're not going to be at parity.
Taco Bell purchases min 2 grades lower than most pizza places, like Dominos, because the customer sees the produce/meat front and center in a pizza store.
Taco Bell's "special" chicken and beef is your basic chicken topping at any pizza place. So you want to pay extra for something others deem as the norm?
What I found funny is that anyone would defend Taco Bell, literally one of if not the worst fast food joint.
