I bought a couple of Ridgid 50-footer a few years ago. They are extremely pliable and lay flat.

Can this be used in 220V? If so, does Amp rating stay the same?
Sure! 220, 221... Whatever it takes.

I'm scared to ask what you're doing. This has 120v receptacle and plug. You would have to replace both ends for 220/240v. Just buy a real 240v extension cord.

Amperage capacity is technically the same at 120v or 240v on a given wire size.

100 footer is $99. That is a better deal imo. Can never have enough cord. 50 for is a ripoff compared to the other two

Can this gauage be used with 120v ev car chargers? Can't reach my car where the outlet is currently located
Yes. It's rated for 30A at 90 degrees. Your breaker would trip before that.

You absolutely can have too much cord. Resistance, with its accompanying heat and voltage drop, goes up linearly with length. So the longer the cord, the worse your equipment will perform and you might have excessive heat build up, especially if you haven't uncoiled the excess length that you don't need.

Always buy and use the shortest cord that will get the job done.

Hopefully you realize that EVs charge off of standard 120v plugs INSANELY slowly. An extension cord is only going to induce more voltage drop which lowers the amount of power delivered. Depending on the range of your battery it could take several DAYS to get a full charge. If you have invested in an electric car, it is really worth it to invest in a proper charger and cord.

Does Rodgid cover these under their lifetime warranty? What does it cover? The Craftsman rubber hoses used to have legendary warranty, even if you cut it with a lawn mower or crushed it with a car, they still cover it. (not that over done that, just posts over read here.)

And the other way around applies - don't link a bunch of short cords together when you need extra length.

I learned that the hard way trying to run an air compressor out in the parking lot. Plugs started on fire and ruined two good extension cords - good thing it was outside on pavement. Wish I would've taken the time to dig out an old air hose to extend my reach that way instead.
