Speeds are mediocre with the possibility of early failure. Samsung is best.

Why would I pay $35 for a card that has speed I don't need for my use case instead of $27 for the card that does what I need it to do?

Read/write speeds are almost definitely nowhere near that different. The whole speed certification logo is pretty irrelevant nowadays, it's just the minimum baseline but pretty much every modern card from any major brand far exceeds it. Just like how the PNY card you linked to only has read speeds up to 100mb/s, but the Sandisk one is up to 150mb/s read speeds, so in theory it would be 50% faster for transferring data (of course again, this is just labelling and not likely real world performance numbers).
Yea, PNY screwed me out of the warranty. They wanted the receipt even though I purchased it off Amazon, and the PNY store didn't give me one. So I stop buying from them and HP.

I bought two of these last week for new Switches in my household and they were just fine. I ended up canceling a $45 card shortly after I found these which had the same stats as these. I read somewhere that the ImageMate line is comparable to SanDisk ultra and rebranded for Walmart, but I don't know if that's factual.
I appreciate the input, new with switches here as kids growing out of fire tablets. I utilize ultra or extreme but these imagemate is very good deal that I didn't want to miss!

Cause it's Samsung. An out of all the yapping I see; their products actually last. You can't really troubleshoot bad SD memory. It went bad in my moto an all I knew was my device had random errors. Because it wouldn't record video I made an assumption. But I record several hours every other day. So a normal user would probably think they downloaded a virus the way it may act. There is no good SD card testing method to see if a card is bad. Other than maybe filling it up then running a test.

My sandisk still works but so does my Samsung which is faster an older. An your speed can still matter if the device doesn't support super high speeds. If you transfer to a computer. I've watched sustain write on certain cards drop to abysmal levels after a few seconds. An for some reason my benchmark didn't catch it. So I get the idea some cards may be dropping speeds after a minute. Or it's random dropping?

Amazon has all your purchase history including receipts. You just have to select to look back further than a few months in the options.

I've never had any problems with Sandisk, but admittedly I don't shoot much video so if there was a slowdown I probably would not be as likely to notice as someone who does. (Which, I suppose, brings me back to the point that it works just fine for my use case)

Because the faster the card is, the better it is. V30 speed means it writes at a minimum 30 MBs compare to V10 that writes at a minimum 10 MBs. So when you want to record in 4K videos or copy large files onto a 512 gb memory card, you want some fudging insane write speed. I will never buy an UHS-I SD card with a write speed less than V30. Too damn slow and Samsung, Sandisk, PNY, and others need to stop making V10 cards now. They're useless.

UHS-ii cards are much faster as they have V60 and V90 write speed.

I've been using V30 cards for over 5+ years now and they havent failed on me. I have both Samsung, Sandisk, and PNY. Im a photographer so I always capture my photographs simultaneously to 2x card slots.

And as I posted above, all of that is irrelevant.

I tried two Walmart near me for pickup and both of them are charging me $6.99 for pickup...

Walmart is a joke. I will wait for Prime Day and get free delivery lol

EDIT: Okay, never mind I'm dumb. They charge only if reserved for a specific time. If you just order for pickup, it's free.

Because at some point you'll need it. Slower cards quickly become outdated. , and the difference in price is minimal. And I'd pay extra to reduce chance of early failure. When your card stops writing at a critical moment (camera during an event), you won't be pleased. IMO, SanDisk cards haven't been as reliable as Samsung memory in a number of years ...
