The one thing that makes this stuff even more difficult is on display right here in the thread...everyone agrees that prices are inflated beyond what makes logical sense, but then, to your point, there are certain brands that are not inflated to that degree which begs a different question, which you're asking...so here we are. And I'm not pushing anyone one way or the other, you have to make the call for yourself on this, it's your body, your health and some elements of opportunity cost too.
