It's beneficial but not necessary. It'll give a boost to your strength/power output by helping your muscles maintain ATP (what your cells use for energy), though the benefit is small compared to regular exercise, good diet, and good sleep. Those 3 things will be 90-95% of meeting your goals unless your goal is to be a 'roided out monster. Creatine and protein are the two supplements that are well-studied and have a good amount of benefit. Both are available through dietary sources. Creatine is main through red meat. Protein has many dietary sources.

Weight gain
Absorb more energy (measured in calories) from food than you expend.

Weight loss
Expend more energy than you absorb from food.

Strength gain

Build bigger muscles. Bigger muscles are stronger muscles. Progressive overload, enough protein, and enough recovery will help you build bigger muscles.
Learn and become proficient in the movements. Strength gain is partially about learning and a skill similar hand-eye coordination. Practicing the movements and improving your mind-muscle connection will help you build strength. Sleep is also important for consolidation of learning, and will allow your body to recover.
Give your body enough protein. I think the research on the right amount might not be as settled as some studies suggest. But bodybuilders generally shoot for 1 gram of protein per lb of lean mass. Studies suggest an upper limit of .7 g per lb of lean mass. In either case, it's a lot of protein compared to a lot of people's normal diets, which is a big part of why protein supplementation is popular.

Okay, but you didn't answer my question... when you're at the supermarket do you personally walk up to strangers and "advise" them on their personal dietary habits? Or is this just an anonymous internet keyboard warrior type of thing? I'm genuinely curious.

Then post a scientific study informing people of the dangers. If you're not going to bring anything other than rhetoric then you're just noise.

I do not see the 25% coupon. I ordered this when it was on frontpage in April; don't know if it's targeted to those who have not made a purchase before.

Thank you for posting, but the best deal is $23.99 for 2.2lbs on Amazon. I bought it (Horbaach), and it works like all the rest of the higher priced brands.

FYI, I ordered this item July 2nd during the last post using the discount coupon. Today the discount coupon did NOT appear on the product page. I went to the eligible products and added another item into my cart from that page, went back to this Creatine item and began checkout, removed the "other" item, and discount works!

I know supplements are junk like Big Pharma. It's a billion dollar industry. They don't care about your health. All supplements do is destroy it, especially bodybuilding supplements which usually contain hidden unapproved ingredients. The only thing they care about is your money and making max profits.

All supplements do is ruin your health and damage your liver. Muscle gain is less important than having a healthy liver, heart, and kidneys. People take their health for granted until they lose it.

Obtaining vitamins and minerals through food is best and the safest. Plus, you don't experience harmful side effects as you do with these.
Interesting but not completely accurate point.

I'm sorry if this is a silly question- how do I find other eligible products to reap 25% off using your suggestion?

I also purchased same item in April. Thank you!

It's painfully obvious that you didn't read through any of those. Not a single one is about why it's dangerous to consume creatine other than the short vague blurb from NCCIH on potential issues but mainly how the long term effects of it haven't been well studied.

That also happens to be completely false as it's the most widely studied supplement in the world and has been for a long time. Your links primarily talk about taking other body building supplements as well as anabolic steroids.

https://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-...t-20347591

https://www.healthline.com/nutrit...20years%20.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1...20creatine.

Conclusion: long term creatine consumption does not yield long term effects. Of course, like with any vitamin or supplement, you do run the risk of putting extra strain on your kidneys especially if you take high doses. That "no duh" isn't exclusive to just creatine…
