Are Little Giants the lightest of multi position ladders? Or is it Werner, or Gorilla, or…

I've been trying to determine this and the information seems to be so inconsistent.

M26 is very heavy ladder. I have a fiber glass 8 ft one for most DIY home stuff.

It honestly depends. I have a Warner 22' multi-ladder that is about 7 years old and is all metal for the edge of the steps and locking pins. There is little plastic. The newer Warner's have more plastic. I have a 23' Gorilla multi-ladder I bought last year and it's noticeable lighter by about 5-10 pounds compared to the Warner 22' but it has some plastic. Best bet would be to identify the models you are interested in and go to the store and try carrying it to see if you don't mind the weight.

Thanks for the comparisons. I'm now seeing why it's so hard to pick THE best brand (if lightest is one of my top priorities). Seems like there isn't one and it varies by model or generation.

My experience with these types of ladders is that they're heavy as hell but compact and versatile.

I have it and I should say it is very heavy and NOT easy to for day to day stuff, I use it for something really specific like hanging a chandelier or doing something to our high ceiling living room.

I own this ladder and I love the build quality but a very heavy ladder. I honestly bought a lighter ladder (Werner)for around my house everything use.

It's heavy but has surprisingly functional wheels on one side. I even drag it through my yard without trouble. It's something like 7' when collapsed so it's interesting to maneuver around in tighter spaces. If you need a tall ladder then you need a tall ladder. It has served my needs well.

To add on to this comment. I have a long multi position ladder like this and while they are sort of heavy, the problem is that they are huge and you have to be very careful with them to avoid damaging things, meaning you have to be meticulously angle and move it around items and THAT is when it feels heavy AF

I bought this ladder from lowes for full price 2 years ago. It's heavy. It works great as a giant A frame ladder although slightly inconvenient to pull out. But I've found it's just too heavy to use in extension form. The weight has so much leverage on you that it's hard to control.

I also have:
A 3-step step-stool for reaching high shelves
An 8' step ladder that's super-light and easy to pull out and can be used in closets where the LG is too wide

And I plan on getting a standard extension ladder as well
