Is it well optimized? Any crashes during gaming? Is it too loud during game session? I play Rust btw, wonder if this is a good option? Thanks in advance.

Raw performance is great, but it does heat up and the fans are loud. If you wear a headset of any kind its not going to be an issue, and for everyday tasks its pretty quiet. Also my temps have trended up in the 6 months or so since I got it, I'm thinking about repasting it to cool it down. I don't play Rust so Im not sure what kind of requirements it has, I mostly play Warzone on mine and it hits 170fps pretty consistently with modified settings on 1440P

Im not sure what kind of workload that will be, but for graphics intensive gaming the fans do get loud, and CPU gets in the 90s easily, and GPU gets into the 80s.

At 300 nits, does it feel like a real drawback in the laptop? On display I've seen (albeit in very bright areas) they seem too dim. How's real world experience

Sorry I use it docked to my monitor 99% of the time, and the few times I used the screen itself it was fine, nothing noticeable one way or another. Unless you are using it outdoors (which you shouldnt, this thing is a brick and battery life sucks) the screen is most likely going to be just fine.
