Not saying it isn't a decent film, but it certainly isn't on that kind of level.

It is borderline criminal that Universal ends the All-Access Rewards program with a list of movies to pick from that few people actually want... and then puts these (and more) on deep sale. I would have jumped at most of these if they had been in the AA Rewards.

. . . I think criminal (in bold nonetheless) might be a bit hyperbolic here. Is it really surprising they gave away free movies that nobody was buying and are selling movies people actually want?

Watched The Holdovers and was waiting for something interesting to happen. Pretty meh overall but at least I was on a flight so didn't really waste time.

Yep, it was one of my top movies last year as well.

If you liked Paul Giamatti character in the movie, I would recommend you watch the TV show Billions. The show is great, and the character is somewhat similar.

In for the Holdovers. That and Iron Claw were the two best films of 2023, imo.
