I have used this more than once in year's past - in fact twice on the same account at the same time (set up a separate log in for my wife (they issue a different card number for each authorized user) and both her card and mine showed the offer and we were able to each get the $45 credit).

Process is to simply active the offer; use the card to add $90 to your Mint wallet; $45 credit will appear on your next Amex statement. You can then use the $90 Mint wallet credit the next time you need to pay for a plan. I've done this multiple times before in the summer, but didn't use it until January (when my annual plan was up for renewal) without a problem.

You can; or if I remember correctly if you check the URL after you select the $20 it ends in "20" and you just remove that and replace it with "90" and the next page will be for a $90 load

Doesn't expire for almost 2 months so things might change by then. I know other member like Mint Mobile that's the only reason I posted this.

none of their plans for new customers are $90. the closest plans are either $45 or $120.
so this is really a $45 off $120, not $45 off $90 if you're only opening one line. i guess if you open 2 new lines, then you can get 2 of the $45 plans for a total of $90.
You can add it to your wallet and use whatever you want. Also, 1 year of service 5gb/mo is $180

Huhhhh???
This is 3 months unlimited for $45
Thanks for the info. But I just checked and it's the same 15 for first 3 months for unlimited just like Visible's. It's 30/month afterwards... I'm currently on Visible's 15 for 3 months until August... and it will be 25/month afterwards so Visible is still a bit better. Besides Mint does charge some extra fees, at least they are honest and list those fees upfront.

My annual plan just renewed last month Frown There is an option to "Pay in Advance" for another year, but I'm not sure I want to be committed to them for 23 months.
I just renewed mine 2 weeks ago. But, I'll say, I've been with them for over 2 years and no reason to think I won't be renewing again next year

So can we add $90 to the mint wallet, use 3 months of unlimited for $15/month and then switch to the 10GB plan after the intro rate is over to squeeze another 2 months out of the $90 credit?

This is basically 5 months service for $45 right?

So slightly off topic, but I'm looking for a prepaid plan or similar where I can use it as needed when my provider is not available. For example, I have AT&T and while I have good service most of the time, there are times when AT&T's tower is either down or I'm not in range, but in range of one of the other 2 providers. I.e. boarding at Stevens Pass(who also doesn't have Wifi) and when AT&T's tower goes down, I'm lost from the outside world until I leave the mountain.

I'm ok simply activating the service and letting it run out, but I want it there as a backup until I need it. Mint has a 45 day window to activate so this won't work.

TIA

What's the best way to use this if you don't have mint mobile, but received the offer?

Port-in to get the discount for a few months and then port-out? If you don't mind the hassle?
To me it's a bit too much hassle for the savings.

I might be weird, but I have an amex platinum and a gold.

had verizon for years, switched to mint and my coverage got significantly better.

recently switched from mint to usmobile, which is verizon based and my coverage got worse again.

will be switching back to mint at the end of this contract.

fwiw...
Since you seem to be currently on USMobile, did you try availing of the two free migrations to their other networks, to see what worked best for you?
