I bought those SB Blazers in the thumbnail from a previous sale. Around $50 is a fair price, I think. As I do with every Nike I've ever owned, I bought a half-size up from what I wear in any other sneaker. I was a little surprised at the so-so quality -- at $90, I probably would've returned them. Sole is hard and uncomfortable. Can't comment on how well they hold up to skateboarding, but I wouldn't imagine the upper would last very long in the typical kickflip/heelflip spots.

As someone who doesn't follow fashion I'm hearing nike is out and everyone is buying new trendy brands for running shoes. I refuse to pay these prices and look bad.

Kind of true. They are losing market share. Quality has gone downhill, innovation non existent, absurd retail prices.
Nike is still King but the earnings call last week was eye opening. Hoka, on, new balance, ASICS, nobull, lulu really being disruptive .

Some of these shoes are the same price or cheaper elsewhere. The SB, short for skateboard, styles have been on sale for a while at places like Zumiez, Tactics and other sites that carry the Nike SB styles.

Losing market share, sure, but far from "out". They're still a $110 billion dollar company. I think its hard to appeal to every single corner of the market where others can take over. They still make good running shoes, but so do other brands. For me, the issue is the overwhelming number of choices they offer. Simply searching for "running shoe" on their site gives you back 200+ results ranging in price from $50 - $300

Couldn't care less about what's trendy. I just care about look, quality, and comfort.
