I get what you are trying to say, but to be clear, this is not something like a membership which grants access to the ability to purchase from a store. There are a lot of benefits to the membership which extend even beyond Walmart stores. The most common benefit is that there are no delivery fees directly applied to grocery deliveries when placed sufficiently in advance (I use this due to strict covid precautions; both myself and my partner are vulnerable to complications of infections). Lesser known benefits are discounts on things like travel, auto care, and promotions on entertainment like Paramount+.

No they treat this as full subscription. This is not the trial. This is discounted.

Oh, you have to join the Walmart delivery service. Another (yes, another...) $49/yr and they deliver it in house, put all the cold stuff away, and put the rest on the countertop.

Simply unbeatable. Even if they increased prices 20%, I'll never shop anywhere else.

Did you renew already or instead are you planning to renew? Wondering if you can get in on this well before the subscription expires in order to ensure I get the deal. I'm on a 49$ deal from Black Friday-ish. I'll pay 49, but not $98 for this.
Planning to renew at $49, I would cancel at $98. I'd say amazon has more variety of items but walmart good for specific foods I want but I rarely go to in store since it's and hour drive each way. Too far. So this is my best option. I pay $49 for 1 year walmart + and $7/month for amazon prime

I have to say the in store scanning and quick checkout is really awesome. I wish more stores had that function. That said, I won't renew my membership. It really isn't worth it at full price. Id reconsider though if they stopped using plastic bags for deliveries.
My WM deliveries come in paper or reusable bags.

I answered my own question and tried it. It kept everything the same, refunded the remaining balance on my prior subscription and charged my the $49 for the new full year. All addresses, credit cards, etc stayed exactly the same and the existing email address was kept as well. It used sheerid based on the college and name of student.

Has anyone tested whether a teacher can get this. The IS check services sometimes/often grant access.
I am faculty at a university and it wouldn't let me. The verification service Walmart and others use (SheerID) reject my documentation, even though my ID cards are on the list of valid documents.

I did the same and it doesn't change my account name

I miscommunicated. I mean did you already stack this on your existing membership that is expiring? I'm trying to figure out if I can simply extend my membership now or if I have to wait until til November when mine expires.

At first I thought you were joking about the in home grocery put up. I had no idea that's a thing. I looked it up and it's $20/month $138 annually.
Yes, WAL-MART+ (delivery via DoorDash, so tips are expected) is $98 annually, but then you have to pay for the extra Walmart InHome at $40 (I break them out because I see some confusion in this thread) to get in-home delivery without any tips (ie I'm making money back on about the fifth delivery…) by Walmart Associates (which I strongly prefer over DoorDash 'leave it at the door' delivery). Simply outstanding work, I know the 2 people who deliver every week or so, and it's just a great experience all around.

That requires Walmart+ IN HOME for them to put your groceries way, which is additional and not available in all locations.
Yes, that's what I alluded to when I mentioned there was another $49 service one must pay for to get that feature.

It's wonderful.

Everyone suffers from that while going into a walmart. You see the craziest shit during the day and night. Only good time to go is when they open their doors.
The sensory experience for an autistic person is similar those in neurotypicals; the only difference is in the frequency and intensity of it. It is common for this reason that autistic people will often have their statement of "my experience is...", responded with, "we all face (insert experience here)".

Sensory overload for autistic individuals is a neurological response that can be extremely distressing and even debilitating. This experience is fundamentally different from the general discomfort or annoyance a neurotypical person might feel in a busy store.

By recognizing these differences, we can better understand and support the diverse needs of individuals across the neurological spectrum.

Just know half the cheap shit you want delivered to your dorm will say not available for shipping. Honestly, as former military I can't imagine a college student really taking advantage of a Walmart+ membership. Just use your parents account, if that's an option.

Like food?

The big benefit to Walmart InHome is they put the food away; you don't even have to let them in (assuming you have smart locks). (Yes, they are all bonded; they all have security cameras on. They're WM employees, and you get their picture sent to you.).

For the extra $49/year, this is SlickDeal of the century imho. Never set foot in a grocery store ever again...
