Although, not sure why you would just use electrical tape for all of those applications mentioned. Unless it's a tight spot with no wiggle room, but tape is thin so not really sure.

Anybody used this? How does it compare to 3M Super 88 tape, especially for outdoor use?
Might get a can at this price, and put it on the shelf for the future. Love the Permatex products, so might give it a try.

I also recently damaged my extension cord's outer jacket, the wires inside are intact, but the electrical tape holds on to dirt and rolls/peels so I have to replace it after every use. I plan to apply this stuff on the cut and hopefully be done with it.
I use it for LV wiring all the time if you nick a cat cable or say data/LV wire into HVAC and I will use it for 120V/230V applications where needed. I personally won't use it above 120V because uniformity matters, but any low voltage/waterproof/moisture this stuff it the boss. Since it is waterproof if you want a professional look thereafter you can use shrink tubing for a finished look. You can also slather it in terminal blocks to prevent shorts where you have like 3+ wires in a terminal, and in auto/marine applications this stuff is the boss. I will bond with inline wago or this.
This also has UV resistance, so it can withstand outdoor, however I normally put another layer over it for secondary protection to increase longevity if there is a lot of sun on it.
Since I have started using wago and this electrical tape is for secondary protection only and wire nuts are gone. I have shifted to terminal crimps also where possible.
To me: wago/inline, terminal crimps, liquid tape is the trinity of modern electrical.
I also used it to repair a 100 foot 12 awg extension cord that had rodent damage.
Both applications required 3 applications applied 30 minutes apart per instructions to achieve sufficient thickness. After applying I waited 24 hours for complete cure.
