"Data Syncing:The Type C data cable provides transfer speeds up to 480Mbps"

Fast charging, but USB 2.0 data speeds.

This is essentially a sponsored post. I typically stay away from these deals based on principle alone. Ugreen is heavily promoted by SD staff -- search for prior ugreen deals and see what percent are either posted by staff or have a coupon code to enter (usually means manufacturer sent the coupon code to SD).

Not sure if you are trolling, but I will take the bait.

I love SD and have used it since ~2007. I think the community on here is great and very knowledgeable. The company was acquired by Goldman Sachs six years ago for half a billion, so I am sure it does well financially.

My main gripes are related to it putting profits above their mission (saving people $$) and transparency. Examples:
1. Not allowed to post cash back sites (cuts into their referral revenue stream), which sometimes can save 20% or more.
2. Removing posts/links to Amazon products that don't meet a threshold number of sales/seller ratings. This is touted as protective for the community against Chinese shills, but in actuality, it allows them to block out their sponsor's competition. Similarly you don't see many deals from AliExpress/Temu (not sure if they have the same policy on those two sites as well).
3. Sponsored posts (such as this) are rarely labeled as promoted/sponsored content.
4. SD staff posts often have abnormally large numbers of TU relative to comments and true deal "hotness." Any time you see a staff posted deal, look at the ratio of TU to comments and you will see what I mean. I wish there was transparency here -- eg listing who TU'ed/TD'ed a deal.
5. Sometimes posts have shills. Example overzealous shill replies would be "Wow great deal in for X (large unnecessary quantity)" or "Code no longer works" (to cause FOMO) followed by "Code is still working, great deal"

I actually think a lot of their sponsored deals are pretty solid, but just wish that they were more transparent.

Not familiar with the brand -- are these decent cables (meaning they'll hold up well?) or just a good deal because of the low price + multiple quantity?

Looking to get a few to charge my phone in the car and on the go, but I've had so many other cheap cables work for a couple weeks and just stop

Yes Ugreen is a good brand, it's following the Anker way and it's probably gonna eventually be priced the same as them. I use a lot of Ugreen stuff (networking cables and power cables).

I don't know... they are sponsoring a useful product from a reputable brand at a reasonable discount. We get cheap goods, they get some kickback. It does not bother me, t

I'll take sponsored products over cords and chargers that will burn my house down
