Stylus 2024 has ufs 2.2. I don't know if A54 has same or faster. I wonder how Stylus compares to thinkphone ufs 3.1. My TP is getting sluggish once storage filled up about half way. Out of the box all phones seem fast. Moto TP has 300+ background processes and apps running. I hope some day will root and debloat. With this locked Stylus won't be possible other than disabling some bloat apps.
"super heavy"? Moto Stylus 5G 2024 weighs less than a half oz (.4) vs the Sam A54..
And just to clarify, I don't have my Moto Stylus 5G 2024 yet. It's arriving on Friday. Will test it out and form my opinion at that point. The A54 was just not for me, so I sold it as a locked Metro phone for cost. I like to try new phones, so don't mind picking up new ones just to play with.
The service is probably a pricing error, expect that to change.
I purchased one for $40 as an upgrade, so if your account is eligible for an upgrade you don't need a new line.

As to the phone itself, there is a discrepancy in regards to the amount of physical RAM included in the device. While the upper portion of the page where specs are lists the device as having 8gb memory, the legal notice at the bottom says 4gb physical RAM + up to 4gb Boost (aka virtual RAM).
Unfortunately, I am not getting involved with this deal as I am about 7 months away from being able to receive upgrade pricing.
