Have to Verify identity on Total by uploading ID to third party and face picture with port number. They have better phones like Galaxy A54 if gonna do all that.

I'm thinking about getting this just for Nintendo DS game emulation
Should be fine...DS emulation is ancient. Ran well on phones from 10 years ago...

Yeah, looks like a price mistake to me. The Boost Facebook page has a graphic showing the item as costing $99.99. Another thing odd is that for new users, Boost is allowing them to choose any available service plan. Normally, subsidized phones require and only have the one option of starting the $60 monthly plan.

As to the phone itself, there is a discrepancy in regards to the amount of physical RAM included in the device. While the upper portion of the page where specs are lists the device as having 8gb memory, the legal notice at the bottom says 4gb physical RAM + up to 4gb Boost (aka virtual RAM).

Unfortunately, I am not getting involved with this deal as I am about 7 months away from being able to receive upgrade pricing.
It's probably 6gb, instead of 4 or 8. Let's see who discovers the truth first.

I dislike how swap is advertised on phones nowadays. Accounts on YouTube say you can "add ram". No. You don't add more of a physical component with software. Annoying

You could grab it with the $15 plan and swap your sim over once the phone+line are activated.

I ordered it on the $15 plan, if boost mails it to me can they force me on the $60 plan or charge my credit card?

Nah they won't. When a bunch of us glitched the site to get iphone XRs on the $15 plan they didn't try anything like that.

Good to know, thanks. Ordered this from Total Wireless for $100 with port in. They unlock in 60 days. Much better deal IMO if you want an unlocked phone.
Total Wireless wants to text a verification code to the number I'm trying to port. But that phone isn't working. What do I do?

The ID verification took a minute and wasn't hard at all. I had an A54 in the past and didn't like it at all. It was super heavy and really sluggish. Decided to try the Moto Stylus 5G 2024 as it is lighter and has 8GB RAM. For $100 (minus about $10cb), I am willing to give it a try as a secondary phone. Worst case will just sell it after it unlocks and recover what I spent on it.
it's not hard. It's the privacy and credit risk. I don't want to deal with that even for $500...

Is this good if you're already a boost customer?
Because you would need to pay for 12 months straight to get it unlock.

Oh, I'd just burn the number at that point. Not worth selling your identity.

Wait, so this Moto G stylus 5G 2024 phone requires 12 months of paid service to get it unlocked? It's not possible to just pay for the 1st month of service and cancel?
