Have to Verify identity on Total by uploading ID to third party and face picture with port number. They have better phones like Galaxy A54 if gonna do all that.

they copied that from 2023 model. All 2024 Stylus prepaid have 8GB base + 8GB RAM boost option.
The Walmart ST version only comes with 6GB

Ok so I know it unlocks with a year of service ..

but is it possible to buy it with the $15 plan for 1 month, activate it for the month, then not pay anymore and keep it until I want to add a plan again?

My wife and I each has one TbV account and each bought two discounted iPhone11's. I bought my 2nd phone about 3 weeks after buying the 1st one and had to re-do my ID Verification because it had expired. My wife bought the 2nd phone a week after the 1st one and didn't have to redo the verification.
That's strange since they have your ID saved and shared with other companies. They should have all your info by now

Hopefully not otherwise goodbye phone deals
Supply and demand. Look at the T.V. Prices especially the deal on the C4 that is on here. People aren't racing out in great numbers to buy the latest best electronic. That goes for phones, tv's, computers, monitors, ear buds you name it. Most is overpriced anyways so if it just don't buy like normal. Why be trapped in a year long commitment on a pre-paid wireless service that is spotty at best gets low service on the main carrier tower. Why pay a 75 dollar a month cell phone plan just because it's "free" to get. People aren't doing that anymore in the same numbers as past. So if anything it will probably help because the phone makers are probably pushing for this. They aren't selling phones like they used to at the prices they are used to or the benefits of "free phone"

1 year to unlock not a good deal, compare with metro by tmobile (180 days to unlock)
They just change their policy and now it's 12 months.

I don't think you need 12 months of continuous service, you just need the one month of service to get the deal and then you could theoretically use it 11 months as a Wi-Fi only device. Or just park it or whatever. So I can correct me if I'm wrong but that's usually how it goes. There are some companies that command continuous act of service which is insane and if that's the case here I would steer clear.

Sneaky… Phone specs show 8GB ram, but the fine print shows that this is not the case.

"11[ RAM Boost] RAM Boost extended RAM requires use of phone's internal storage as virtual memory, decreasing storage capacity; available user storage is less while in use; feature on by default unless turned off. 4GB physical RAM + up to 4GB RAM Boost (2GB Default | 4GB Max)."
I think that's an error because the Moto style is 2024 does have am8 GB of base model RAM. But I have to say I am seeing a disturbing trend of people starting to advertise this virtual RAM nonsense in the main listing on Amazon. Dogee was promoting a tablet on some YouTube channels for 160 bucks and it was supposed to have 16 GB of RAM which immediately seemed absurd to me given the price point.

I had to scroll down a bit to realize they only had 6 GB of RAM and the other 10 was virtual RAM.

So we know I'll have to be pretty skeptical about claims for RAM.

Sadly, it required using service continually for 1 year, not interruption.

That's not true according to Boost's own documentation. It even says "or former boost customers with eligible devices".
Look through the thread, countless users have said the same. Plus what you quoted doesn't make sense for the situation. What does that even mean? Former boost customer with eligible device. This is a new device or upgrade. That would only make sense if they had had the device already.

Nope, need to have 1 year of continuous paid service to get boost mobile phones to be unlocked.

Would Boost Mobile bill for the cost difference of the phone if you cancel after one month? This seems like a good option for local game streaming over wifi. I have a Gamesir G8 controller I could attach to the phone.

Why are people willingly giving everything to a phone carrier? SSN...ID. another source of potential ID theft and info harvesting.

They're loaded with bloatware. I had an S22 Ultra and hated it. It was far slower than it should've been, and it was riddled with technical issues.
Yeah I know. My S23U feels slow on oneui 6/6.1. Front camera is bad in low light, random periods of excessive battery drain with all apps closed, apps getting killed in background, and call quality isn't good. I have an issue where it takes forever to regain signal after entering a dead zone.

My s23 Ultra feels sluggish compared to my old oneplus 8 I still use as backup
last update made it much more sluggish and prone to microfreezing and some apps stop responding to touch correctly.
Same issue with the S23U. Used to have an OP8 and it felt fast all the time, whereas S22U/23u are inconsistent.

Currently have the 2024 edge and it feels smoother side by side.

No it doesn't. That's already been verified in a couple YouTube videos

Almost any phone (midrange and up) for the last 5 years can run emulators. Most people are probably talking about older consoles like N64 thru PS1/Gamecube or the handhelds like Gameboy thru DS.
I guess you mean Switch, 3DS and PS2 emulation? A lot of the newer systems like Vita and Switch are better to just play on a Steam deck or desktop tbh.
