You're getting more benefit if you just change your oil on time.
By far the majority of issues with engines are due to neglect/not changing oils on time.
Kirkland and SuperTech are actually made/blended by Highline Warren, Warren Distribution was bought out a few years ago.
Kirkland oil, as well as SuperTech oil, are both g2g with API SP and GF-6 as well as Dexos but to make the claim that it has similar "performance" as Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is laughable at best and incredibly false at worst.

If you have 12 minutes to waste give it a shot.
PS if you buy two 5 quart Penzoil ULtra jugs there is a $25 rebate. Walmart in store is one option for the rebate. google penzoil rebate.

Penzoil Ultra, Amsoil and Mobil 1 advanced with better engine wear packages than many oils including Kirkland. For most of us that are not hard on our equipment Kirkland is just fine. I have 338K on my engine and it has had mostly conventional oils during its first 100K miles. I change oil every 3 to 5K miles per change. As a chemist I worry more about alkalinity, loss of phosphates and contaminates in the oil than the oils with better wear packages. If you run in a dirty climate and have extended change intervals
than the higher priced oils might be necessary. In fact there are probably people that say Mobil 1 advanced is a joke. Some oiis are better at engine wear while some appear to have more additives for seal longevity. ironically none of us know of the top secret organic bases of these oils which are probably more important than the ICP flame inorganic analyses.
