Beware of Samsung ultra wides that have curves. I just had to return one to Best Buy because it cracked down the middle on its own. I came back in down, sat down to work and it was split. No one has access to my office but me, not sure how or why it happened but I was very shocked to find it like that. Google what I'm talking about, it's a well documented issue

I have been using mine for 3 years now, no cracks, in fact its still working great. And it has been through a move, kids abuse and me switching my monitors from one desk to another. I guess as long as you receive an undamaged piece, you are good.

I have this monitor for 3 years (not being used on my workstation currently) and now I'll set it as a fancy garage light 🤓

Is this a better monitor/deal than the LG ultrawide that's on staples for $250? Has anyone used both?

They both have some similar features like the USB-C charging and same resolution. This one is VA and the LG is IPS. This samsung has a higher refresh rate (100hz vs LG's 60hz) and a I think a more pronounced curve.

I have the same question. I bought that LG one from Staples and mostly use it for work. Honestly, the curve is minimal.
I'm tempted to try this, as it has a better curve.

The curve was one of the reasons I was interested, but the LG is IPS and this is VA. Most people seem to say IPS is preferred, but I don't have much knowledge myself.

People complained about the LG's uneven brightness in that deal's thread, have you had any issues with it?

I have the LG one and basically use it as my home office monitor. It's solid and nice foe the money. But if someone is looking at the curves feature. Don't look at the LG bc I can barely tell it's curved at all

I have one, and I don't have any issues except that the build material quality doesn't look like a $500 MSRP monitor. I returned the 35" LG VA monitor from Costco to get the one from Staples: https://www.costco.com/lg-35%22-c...95387.html

I'm not sure about the Samsung one here, but the VA panel was really bad. My eyes were annoyed by seeing dots, and I could not stand it. This is primarily for office use. It was a replacement for a smaller IPS monitor from ThinkVision P24h-10 23.8
