How do you check stock? Do you just call?
Go to the Costco app. Select Same-Day delivery. Enter your address and search for the item. If it shows up, your nearest Costco has it in stock. To be more precise, enter the address of your Costco warehouse. Since I have 5 Costco warehouses within a 10 mile radius, I entered the address of each Costco for more accurate inventory. Calling is hit or miss cuz they don't always pickup.

I was waiting for old genesis to die before I replace it and that thing just never did. I grew tired waiting and replaced it, and now thinking to buy another genesis. It was a dumb move.

A massive 4 burner stainless grill with sear station and a side burner that will last over a decade for 800? On another note, I wish milkshakes were as cheap as $5.
I recall the Lowes deal 4ish years ago. Like $275 or so if I recall. It was 3 burner instead of 4 but its still going strong. Except I broke the starter.

This is like a $5 milkshake! Is this grill really that good?
I just retired my 17 year old Weber, still worked, just decided to update. Not covered for years, still looked good, gave it to a friend and he's using it.

Don't think this works for grills. I have been trying this option for the last week but search never pulled up anything. And then I walk into the store to see tons of genesis.
OTOH, does anyone know what to do when there's manufacturing defect with the frame where the thing that's supposed to be a screw does not have the threads?

The plain old propane grill that thought they could attain legendary status (Big Green Egg), just by making their products cost more money.

Would never purchase anything Weber. It's all cheap propane grill parts that you're ultimately just going to scrap and replace in a few years anyway.

A good balance for something with a decent warranty that doesn't break the bank, but also not a cheapo Walmart no name would be Monument Grills.
That's fine, but it's your loss. Most of us got to Webers by buying all the other stuff out there (or watching parents, in-laws, etc) do that and realized that paying for an "expensive" Weber once is a better deal than paying for something else every 3-5 years (or whatever).

Webers are not popular and expensive because everyone is an idiot, they're popular and expensive because they are worth it. They last much longer than almost anything else, they perform great longer, and when something does wear out.... replacement parts are available.
My in-laws would buy everything else and cover it after each use - they lasted maybe 5 years and the ignition would crap out after the first year or two. They bought a Weber and left it outside for 10+ years uncovered and they gave it to a cousin when they moved because the new house had gas piped to the yard and the old Weber was propane. It still works and ignites in it's own.

A friend has had theirs 15+ years and has only bought flavorizer replacements. We've had ours 5 and leave it outside uncovered, still ignites with no issue. Works great. It was a Genesis I got off an SD here.
Weber is worth the price, at least when on sale anyway.
Even their cook book is damn good.

Didn't see this one or nextgrill deluxe at my warehouse. Grabbed Weber Genesis II E335 for $599.97 which is also a great deal.

Yup, I had a 5 year old KitchenAid branded NexGrill that I threw out last year because the box was completely rotted out. Heat is also uneven so you need more space to cook the same thing. You can fill a Weber up and it will cook very evenly.

Man that's a deal! I got a deal on my spirit and I wanted to replace the Burner tubes (Weber sent for free under warranty) but they have bolts that melt and stick to them so it's nearly impossible to remove now and replace my burner tubes!

Nah, I used to think the same way until I bought a Weber. I went through many other brands. Weber grills are definitely built better.

My warehouse in metro Cincy (N My) is still selling E335 for $799. They say that they will not be marked down they are classified as going "inactive" (6 left) they are trying to sell "a few" more before returning them to the manufacturer according to the manager.

So, rather than sell them at cost or a small profit here, they just send the inventory back. I don't understand that.

My Weber Spirit rusted and the whole thing literally collapsed as I was in the middle of grilling the other day.

I got one last week and price matched to 599.97 today. They still had a couple left in Everett, WA store.

Have you built it? I found a missing screw on the frame, the part where the burner goes on the right. It has a metal part sticking out which was supposed to have threads but does not. Is that by design? (I checked the one displayed in Costco and it had same issue)

These Genesis II grills have partially open backs and sides. You can see it in the pics. Great for rodents to enter the grill area and nest and eat the drippings. The older Genesis (originals) had complete covering on the side and back. Every newer version of these weber grills get cheapened. That said, the burners are great and I spent a lot of time putting screens to rodent proof my grill.
I had that problem... I sprinkled cayenne all over the inside.... That coon never came back.
